Muscatel Roma - 400 Mts from Mall Road

Great Stay, But Accessibility is a Concern I stayed at Muscatel in Darjeeling, and overall, it was a good experience. The rooms were underground but well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The bathroom had a water issue on the first day, but it was resolved quickly. The biggest downside is the hotel's location. The access road is extremely narrow, on a steep hill, and entirely one-way, which can be challenging even for taxis. On the positive side, the hotel is close to Mall Road, with plenty of food options nearby, making it a convenient choice for exploring the area.

I've stayed here on 19th April and the experience was overall nice. Roma is an affordable stay among all Muscatel group of hotels here in darjeeling. Service was top notch, both receptionist Alisha and Avinash are nice and professional . Only con is the hotel location, this is situated in Gandhi Road - just opposite of SOL Cafe. It is too steep and narrowy to access the hotel.

One of the best hotel in Darjeeling. Safe to stay with family. Behaviour of the staffs are really awesome, they are very polite.The location is good and near the centre point of Darjeeling, but quite steepy not recommended for the senior citizen or the person suffering from knee pain. Service was Great!! especially "Alisha" and "Aryan" were very helpful.. they even helped us with some offbeat suggestions to travel. Looking forward to our next visit and staying at Muscatel roma.

The hotel's central location is a major plus. Being just a 5-7 minute walk from Mall Road, it provided easy access to all the vibrant energy of Darjeeling. Moreover, all the major tourist attractions were conveniently reachable, making exploration a breeze. Our rooms were a highlight. They were remarkably large and spacious, offering ample room to relax and unwind. The expansive windows provided breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, a visual treat every morning. The breakfast experience was exceptional. The hotel's a la carte menu offered a wide variety of delicious options, ensuring a satisfying start to each day. However, what truly set Muscatel Roma apart was the incredible staff. Their helpfulness and warmth were unparalleled. A special mention must go to Mrs. Alisha, whose hospitality was truly outstanding. Her friendly and welcoming demeanor made our stay exceptionally enjoyable. Even during the booking process, she went above and beyond by offering us a discount and allowing us to choose our preferred room, which made us feel incredibly welcome and excited for our trip. She went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, ensuring our rooms were always immaculately clean and well-stocked with essentials like water and coffee/tea sachets, often without us even asking. Mrs. Alisha's assistance in navigating Darjeeling was invaluable. She provided insightful tips and recommendations, helping us maximize our sightseeing and experience the best of the city. Her dedication and personalized service were truly remarkable. Services are good. The hotel staffs (Sahil) were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and professional throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel welcome and went out of their way to assist with any requests. Their attentiveness and positive attitudes created a pleasant atmosphere. Whether it was providing recommendations or promptly addressing any issues, their professionalism was evident. Overall, their service significantly enhanced my experience at the hotel.

Location from train station was a little confusing for me as a tourist. But it's easy to reach from mall Rd. There are uphills and staircase to reach tho.

Everything of this hotel was nice, just be cautious about the location. It is only accessible through a steep road (requires quiet a hard walk) and most taxis charge extravagantly just to drop at the hotel.
