Muscatel BhumSang - 200 Mts from Mall Road

This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. The rooms were very dirty, and stinking of wet floor and damp walls. The bathrooms were stinking, and not clean. There was water leakage from the bathroom to the room, which would cause more stink. We had booked three rooms for three days, one super deluxe and two deluxe. None of the rooms were habitable. The only good thing was that the staff attempted to be helpful by trying to give us the least bad rooms upon request. Unfortunately, we had made full payment beforehand. Had we not, we would have cancelled the booking and gone to a different hotel.

Faced many issues: 1. Water crisis: Every morning, faced shortage of water 2. Appliances faulty / not working: Geyser was not working properly, Plug sockets were broken, almirahs were broken, commode cistern was detached from its place. 3. Poor Room Service: Staff was not at all cordial, demanded payment up-front but when requested for amenities, denied them. Didn't accomodate for us at all in any department. Note: Please note, that the hotel is actually 1km-ish away from mall chowrasta.

Stayed at Muscatel Bumsang for 1 night (Originally planned for 2 nights), had to get out after spending a night. TV not working, Rooms unclean, No Phone for intercome, Geyzer not working. Earlier I stayed in the hotel in November 2023 and it was a pleasurable experience so thought about rebooking and now the hotel has degraded in quality. Advice all to avoid the hotel at anycost, no service at all try other muscatel properties such as fairmont, stardust and springburn, U will find good service and rooms there. Worst experience this time at the hotel, plz avoid the hotel.

Not value for money. Rooms are very basic but need much maintenance and renewal of upholstery. Staff are courteous but have to be reminded multiple times to provide even basis amenities as drinking water and towels etc. No toiletries are given and there's no provision of intercom telephone. Room heater charges are extra. Location is very good as it is in walking distance of mall road. However, at the room rates being charged, the facilities and services need to be improved.

We were 10 people staying here for 2days. Service was good. Location is really good as place is nearby yo mall road and clock tower. Rooms were okk. If you are looking for room with view, you should take 3rd floor onwards. Food is bit pricey but decent taste.

The location of the hotel is good, you can easily access Mall road and other important places by walking. The problem is the furniture of the rooms is old and worn out, the quilts were not clean. The drinking water bottle provided has lots of rust inside the cap. The washroom's drain was blocked. At the price range, the customers deserve a better room and washrooms. The restaurant is on a cleaning spree most of the time you call them and you have to depend on their timings even for a cup of coffee. The food is okay, though. Their travel service charges a bit more than the market price, still it saves a lot of bargaining and convincing the local drivers, but make your own list of places to visit because most of the suggested places have nothing to see.

Not so great room. Value for money if you paid below 1500. Service was below par, only plus is good location.

The hotel rooms were far below average for the price we paid. The receptionist demanded an additional 700 for an extra person, to be paid into a personal account, leaving us unsure if this was a scam. The service provided by both the receptionist and staff was extremely poor, disorganized, and unprofessional. Basic amenities like water and toiletries were insufficient, and we were repeatedly asked--at least 3 to 4 times--to pay the 700, which felt greedy, unprofessional, and humiliating as guests. The entire experience was disappointing; the place is overpriced, uncomfortable, and not worth recommending. Additionally, the geyser was not working, further adding to our dissatisfaction.
