MAYFAIR Hill Resort Darjeeling | 5-Star Hotel In Darjeeling

We were visiting family in Darjeeling. We wanted to give the folks a Mother's Day lunch. They said it will be great to have it at MAYFAIR. What a friendly and lovely atmosphere! I wanted to give a PowerPoint presentation. From the moment I mentioned this to the manager, Mr. Ranajit Biswas, everything related to it was well taken care of (opening up a meeting room, setting up a laptop, etc.). We were surprised and overjoyed when Mr. Biswas and his staff gave us a special Mother's Day party with Nepali Khadas, tasty cake, beautiful individually decorated roses to each lady with great photography. Every one testified that they will never forget the wonderful experience. Mr. Biswas and his staff are most courteous and efficient. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious! We stayed at Mayfair Darjeeling for four nights and had a truly wonderful experience. The place is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway.||The staff were exceptionally warm and courteous, always attentive. A special shout-out to Mr. Praveen, Ms. Alina, and Mr. Bhuman, they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after. Their hospitality really made the stay memorable.||The food was consistently excellent, with a good mix of local and continental options. We especially loved the Thukpa, Momos, and Faley recommended to us by the staff.||Overall our experience exceeded our expectations. We will come back again when we are next in Darjeeling

Excellent service. Chef Alok was amazing , Made food to our choice. One of the best stay. Praveen was also fantastic, Special|Thanks to Resort Manager Sabyasachi Mohanty, made us feel at home. Room was large and very clean. Afternoon Tea was a plus.

Excellent location, good ambience, very neat rooms and great value for your money. Very good staff and excellent cuisine provided by Chef Alok.|Perfect getaway from a mechanical life. The main market is walkable from resort. Very good Spa services too.

Very helpful staff team. Quite cooperating. Thanks again to all the efforts. We appreciate how my clients were catered to and all the instructions were diligently followed by the hotel team. It was a flawless event. We wish to host our upcpming required groups. As it is we use Mayfair in multiple destinations.

I believe Mayfair is by far the best hotel in Darjeeling right now. |Location - Right next to Raj Bhavan (Governor House). The cars are parked at the gate and then you either take an elevator or ramp downhill to the reception. The hotel staff helps with the luggage. |The Hotel - Very well-maintained beautiful heritage property (Built in 1875. Used to be the summer retreat of the royal family of Nazargunj). The flowers and the overall landscaping is lovely. You can actually spend most of your time in the property and only step out for the iconic Darjeeling experiences (and not everything that the tour guides recommend). All areas of the property are easily accessible. A note - Kanchanjungha is not visible from the property. However, there is a viewpoint just across the hotel. So not an issue for me given sighting is rare in April. |Check-in - Was an exceptionally warm welcome with a traditional scarf and a piping hot cup of refreshing Darjeeling tea with cookies! I had an issue with the reservation - out of 4 rooms, 3 rooms were booked in the same category, whereas the 4th room was in a different category. But the front desk manager ensured that the 4th room was allocated in the same wing as the other 3 rooms the next day. They did not charge me for the one night upgrade which was nice. |Rooms - Exceptionally beautiful with antique furniture, well-stocked with snacks, tea, and coffee. Adequate heating provided. Housekeeping also provides hot water bags if needed. All of Lloyds Cottage rooms open up to breathtaking views of the hills. The Executive Anderson rooms are nice but the view is best avoided (for no fault of the hotel. Rampant/unchecked construction in Darjeeling is to blame). A word for the housekeeping team that went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.|Food and Beverage - We had breakfast and dinner on all days of our stay. The food was a delight. We preferred ordering off the menu for dinner versus the buffet. The staff always accommodated any special requests we had. The breakfast buffet spread was great with a standard live counter. (My only suggestions are to include breakfast pastries and well, Darjeeling Tea. Did not seem like the default and I had to ask that it be brewed in a pot.) The staff even accommodated any special request to pack sandwiches for our trip back to Silliguri! A special mention for Ranajit, Swapnashish, Praveen, Ranjeet, and Meghna for providing us exceptional service on all days. I know I have missed out a few more names but every staff was courteous and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I must mention the High Tea in the afternoon which was awesome too with the staff making some delightfully refreshing lemon ginger teas!!|Thank you Team Mayfair for making our stay memorable!

This property is like my second home. I love coming back here. Everything about the place is wonderful. People working here are very polite. Special mention for Mr. Ranajit Biswas( f&b manager) who is a thorough gentleman. Very warm and cordial
