Golden Oren Hotel & Spa

The hotel offered a comfortable and pleasant stay with clean rooms, prompt room service, and courteous staff. The ambiance was peaceful, and the location was perfect--close to local attractions and transport options. The in-house restaurant served delicious food, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of variety. The Wi-Fi connection was strong, and amenities like hot water, clean linens, and toiletries were all well-maintained. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth recommending for both business and leisure travelers.

I had the absolute worst experience at Golden Oren Hotel, Darjeeling. This place is an outright scam. The rooms are pathetically small, barely suitable for kids, let alone adults. I had booked a super deluxe room, but upon arrival, I was informed that the only super deluxe room was overbooked. They shamelessly shoved me into a so-called deluxe room, which was no bigger than a kitchen. The photos provided by the hotel are extremely misleading. The reality is far worse than you'd imagine. And the location? Terrible. The entrance is down a one-way, extremely steep road. After dragging yourself up this 200-meter nightmare, you're greeted with the joy of climbing 40 stairs just to get into the hotel. It's a complete disaster for anyone traveling with luggage or older family members. To top it all off, the staff are unprofessional and rude. They have no sense of hospitality and clearly don't care about the guests. This hotel is the epitome of what you'd call a tourist trap. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. It's not worth your money, time, or energy. Avoid it at all costs!

Thanks Mr. Nitesh Rai and entire staff (reception and restaurant) for cooperating with us for luggage and room. The view from terrace was nice. Food was also good. Room was okay. Hygiene could have been better.

Not worthy for your trip. Very bad experience. Staff is useless. No extra blanket in winter in lowest temperature. No heater availability. They told they give mountain view room but they were not provided at the time of checking. The location was very bad. If you want to stay here you should be ready for almost 100 stairs.service is very bad. Mangement is very bad. We paid extra bed in room, till 10.35 PM they did not arranged. They are charging very high in seasons. Even Manager only listen your problems but not providing anything. Water heater mug is also not working in room.

Good Location Near Mall road. Some steps need to climb. Service is really good and humble staff. Thanks for your hospitality.

Rooms are good & specious. Specially room no. 401 & 501 have kanchanjunga view from window. Not for aged persons because you have to cross 83 high stairs to reach the hotel.

The room we got was full of mold and everything around just felt damp. You will have to limb a mountain of stairs to get here. Would not recommend.
