You can enjoy a great view from the room as well as from the roof. It is situated in a rain shed area so a water crisis is there. You should be more cautious while using the tap water. They provided us with homely food cooked by mam herself. Point to be noted always hire cars to reach or depart from home stay. It's a good destination to have a great time with amigos chilling with a great view outside the window. The family is very friendly & helpful. I shall suggest one of the cab drivers who is genuine & kind hearted, Mr. Sachin (contact number: 8972 two 554 seven0). He took me to the medicine shop at 6:00 am as my mother got sick during the stay. The people I met in darjeeling will be forever in my heart.

Great place to stay near Singamari, Darjeeling. Food quality was good, rooms are clean and services is also very good. Awesome views. They also provided us free bike parking. But don't expect more from this, as this is a homestay, not a 3star or 5 star hotel. We felt like we are in our home. Instead of staying near the crowded place near Mall Road, this was a great place to stay within affordable price. I will recommend everyone who want to stay here.

Firstly the location is very remote from town and main road. Aged or individual having issues with walking must avoid the place as you need to climb 600 mts. No hot water from geyser and bathrooms are too small to accommodate a healthy individual with average body weight of 85+ kg You will not get the view of any snow peak from the terrace but overall scenic beauty is Very good. Service is wonderful and prompt. Food is awesome and portion size is also good. A non-veg meal consisted of Rice, Dal, 2 types of Curry and Mutton/Chicken or Egg @ 200/-

You would get a home like experience. The behaviour of the host is excellent. The views from room and terrace is good. The only thing which took away one star is the location. If you like a solitary stay this is the place. But the connectivity to the town is bad, it require real effort to reach the road.

I arrived here expecting just a normal homestay, turned out be something more. 1. Location: To reach the place, you need walk for around 10 mins from main road, and it might be hard for some people, you can enjoy the view while walking and if you feel hungry there are 2-3 shops too on the way. 2. The actual place is very well maintained, decorated with plants and gives a warm, relaxing vibe. 3. Rooftop is the place to enjoy the views, at night it will look like 1000s of fireflies shining throughout the hills, might as well add some moonlight to that 4. Food: Tasty 5. People: Everyone here is friendly you can talk about anything, just like your friends nd family Nothing is prefect but the ambition towards perfection is worth it. You may come across some issues here and there but that's what makes it memorable. *Note* Water is purchased in this locality, consider not wasting resources...

Though location of Girin Homestay is bit way from Mall, but It's a great place to stay in Darjeeling to whom wants to enjoy peaceful atmosphere, far from noise and like to relish the heavenly view of mountains & blue firmament seating just at the windows with a cup of hot tea holding in hands. We had experienced home like comfort and excellent customer service from them. Whole family of homestay are very much educated and nice in behaviour. Especially I would like to mention Miss. Giri (proprietor) & her brother, they are very much careful about our comfort and too much helpful in any circumstances. They shared us so many valuable tips & secrets like how we can save our money in the trip and where to go for buying cheap & best products in the market, popular foods of every destination around Darjeeling. Last but not the least, the rooms, bathrooms, dining hall, lawn, every thing were neat & clean and they served very much superior quality & delicious food to us. We must stay in Girin Homestay again in future whenever we will plan to stay in Darjeeling. From my side I would like to give them plus rating for there wonderful hospitality.
