Dekeling Hotel

Location wise this Hotel Dekeling is one of the best hotels in Darjeeling. Rooms are also quite good price-wise. Staff behaviour is good and room cleanliness is also quite good. Foods available here from the kitchen is average. The family suit where I had spent few days was really good for the view form the big glass window. The only drawback is you have to walk up a stiff stair to reach this hotel. The hotel starts from 3rd floor and goes upto 5th floor. Not recommandable for older people with knee pain. Otherwise it's good, I like the common lobby areas specially.

One of best hotels in Darjeeling I have ever seen. It is really affordable and the overall service is perfect and satisfying. The staffs are so much humble and friendly. As it is situated on the 4th floor of the building, guests have to use the staircase, which is a little bit difficult for the people. Otherwise it feels like a sweet home for the couple like us. Thanks a ton!

Dekelin hotel is an oldtimer that is centrally and elevated placed in Darjeeling and has rooms with the best views of Kanchenjunga and the Himalayas. The rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is run by Tibetans who provide a perfect service and are very helpful. On the top floor there is a large Tibetan-style living room where you can relax and enjoy the mountain views through the panoramic windows. The room rate is absolutely reasonable. Choose a room at the top with a mountain view directly from the room. Recommended for all individual travelers who aren't behind to climb some stairs to get the best views possible

Excellent location. A couple of minutes walking from mall. Rooms are well maintained. We stayed in the 4 bedded attic room. Keventer's and Clock tower were visible from the window. There is a beautiful lounge for all the boarders to sit and relax. The people in the hotel are friendly and helpful. Would prefer staying there again if I visit Darjeeling again. The only issue is that the hotel is in the 3rd and 4th floor of the building, and there is no lift. It is a bit difficult for aged people to climb the stairs. Everything else is fully satisfactory.

The staff asked to book cab for Rs 2500-3000 for sightseeing (7 spots), told it is very much possible but we could cover only 2 and had to pay the entire amount as they started shouting and switched off the geyser in such chilly weather. The room provided had no view except the front building and we were asked to book without bills as they would provide Rs 500 discount in this way. Won't recommend this hotel based on staff's behaviour, pathetic management by them.

The Dekeling Hotel is in a great location, just a few steps from shops and restaurants in the heart of the town.|The Manager Bikram was incredibly helpful. He helped us organise taxis, train tickets and was available to answer any queries.|It is an old hotel and you do have to climb 3 flights of steps to get to it.|The bedroom is large with an attached bathroom. We stayed 3 nights, then did a 4 day trek and stayed for one more night.|Bikram took care of our luggage while we went on the trek.|On our return from the trek, we stayed in a room on the right of the reception which was really bright with a good view. I would certainly recommend this room.||Thank you to all the staff but in particular Bikram who went out of his way to help us.

Well... the welcome was great. He even organized the trekking in Sinigalila and found a driver to visit Sikkim. The hotel was fine: very clean ( and I am a swiss woman!), is in a central area but if you have a room without view is very quiet. Everyone is very helpful.|I recommend this hotel for everyone, even group or family.

Location , views, staffs ..|Can't get better pix of Kanchanjunga and entire Darjeeling town from any view point that you can get from Dekeling Hotel.|Location just Diagonally opposite to Keventers.. 2mins walk from Glenary's ..|Just love my stay here whenever I visit Darjeeling ..Satying in Dekeling since 2012...
