Darjeeling Stay Inn

My stay at the Darjeeling Stay Inn wasn't exactly planned but a spontaneous arrangement to spend a day earned from completing the Sandakphu trek one day earlier. This 15 key multilevel lodge with moderately priced budget rates, is located on the highway on Batasia loop, a few kilometres short of Darjeeling city. They don't have a restaurant so provide simple home style meals delivered to your room at fixed meal times. The rooms don't look very clean and it's doubtful they change the sheets and linen for every new guest given the water scarcity in the city. Not the best option to stay in Darjeeling but it maybe an option for someone travelling on a shoe string budget.||Cons:|- Damp and smelly rooms|- Rooms have to be accessed by stairs and so isn't a good option for the disabled or elderly guests |- hotel is serviced by one man Friday (who I suspect may also be the chef!) ||

So far the best hotel in the City, much better than the previous ones. The staff was very nice and helpful as well as friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious and comfortable as well. A very nice place to stay at an affordable price.

Hospitality given by the host was beyond expectation.Ladies incharge of the home stay were very courteous and polite.Dinner was just like our home's.Morning tea and breakfast were also good.Cost of breakfast and morning tea was included in the rent.Its better to pick a homestay.

Great place to stay while visiting Darjeeling, amazing views, balconys, friendly owner and staff, scenic point close walking distance, steam train running right past, 3.5 klms from the centre. Hot water, kettle in room with breakfast, WiFi. Good value for money.

Very nice property. Ideal hotel for leisure travels. Hotel package included breakfast and dinner. Food is excellent. Slightly expensive. Location is central in darjeeling. Best is its staffs and manager.

Location was best..room is avarage .but service is very poor..they can't listen anything..

Very Bad experience. The biggest cheaters of Darjeeling . Rooms are infested with rats and cockroaches. The room service is the worst ever.

I really had a poor experience over here . It was my first visit in India . The rooms were inhabitable . Dirty beds , no views from rooms , and racist staffs
