I recently stayed at the Clifton Royal Hotel in Darjeeling with my wife and our 8-year-old child, and the experience was absolutely delightful. Despite the chilly 5degC temperature outside, the rooms were warm and cozy, ensuring our utmost comfort. The hotel's location is outstanding, offering easy access to key attractions while providing a serene environment. The rooms were impeccably clean, with spotless beds and bathrooms, which reflected the attention to detail. Additionally, the soundproofing of the rooms ensured a peaceful stay, free from any outside disturbances. The staff deserves special mention for their professionalism and soft-spoken demeanor, always ready to assist with a smile. We faced absolutely no issues during our stay, which speaks volumes about their excellent service standards. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in Darjeeling

We recently stayed at this hotel near the Mall in Darjeeling with my child, and the experience was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. The hotel staff made us feel comfortable and welcomed, especially with a child in tow. Everyone was warm, friendly, and the hotel also arranged a cab for our local sightseeing, which was a huge plus. It was very convenient and saved us a lot of time and hassle. The driver was polite, and we got to explore some beautiful spots around Darjeeling comfortably. The Hotel also has inhouse restaurant and the food was delicious - freshly prepared. It was great not having to venture far for a good meal, after a long day of sightseeing. The location was perfect too - walking distance from the Mall, making it very convenient for shopping and evening strolls. Overall, a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Darjeeling, especially families.

Highly Disappointed - Would Not Recommend I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment I arrived, things seemed disorganized. 1. Check-in Process - The front desk staff appeared overwhelmed and unprofessional. I waited far longer than expected, and when I finally got to my room, it wasn't properly cleaned. There were visible signs that housekeeping had rushed or skipped certain areas entirely. 2. Room Condition - The room was far from what I expected based on the photos online. The furniture was outdated and worn, the sheets had stains, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. I even found hair in the shower, which was unacceptable. 3. Noise and Comfort - Despite requesting a quiet room, I was placed near an area with constant noise, making it difficult to sleep. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the air conditioning barely functioned, leaving the room stuffy and warm. 4. Customer Service - I approached the front desk with my concerns, but I was met with indifference. The staff seemed uninterested in resolving the issues and offered no real apology or compensation. I felt like my concerns were brushed aside. 5. Amenities - Many of the amenities advertised were either closed or not as described. The gym equipment was broken, and the pool area was unclean. Overall, for the price I paid, I expected much better service and quality. This hotel fell far below even basic standards. I strongly suggest considering other options. There are plenty of hotels that treat their guests with more care and attention. If you want to add more specifics (like names of staff, dates, or particular incidents), it will make the review even more authentic.

Breakfast was too good. Rooms are also clean. Only note that there is no parking available here for all the hotels in this area. Great thing is it is just opposite to the mall and near the market.

Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs I had one of the worst experiences at this hotel. The kitchen and dining services were extremely poor - dinner and breakfast were barely edible and poorly managed. The Wi-Fi was practically non-existent, making it impossible to stay connected. The bathroom geyser barely worked, leaving me with cold water most of the time. The staff were unprofessional and rude, with zero interest in assisting guests. Management was nowhere to be found when issues were raised. This hotel is in desperate need of better service, repairs, and staff training. I wouldn't recommend staying here even as a last resort.

Mountain bliss! This cozy hotel exceeded all expectations. Stunning views, comfy rooms, and a warm welcome from the staff. Perfect base for hiking and exploring. Watching the sunset over the mountains from the hotel's patio was truly unforgettable.

On top of that, the geyser wasn't functioning, so I had to deal with cold water the entire time. Many of the other amenities advertised were either unavailable or poorly maintained. The management was completely disorganized and unresponsive to any complaints or requests for assistance. It felt like no one was in charge, and the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing.
