Stayed in this hotel in April,2025. Here is my take on different aspect of the hotel. Location - Full marks as it is located right next to the mall road. But just note the the hotel picture in the website is heavily edited. The actual front side of the hotel is nowhere similar to what is shown on the picture. Rooms - I stayed in heritage section. Rickety is the word that best describes rooms. The heritage rooms are very badly maintained with squeaky sound coming when you walk on the floor. You can hear similar sounds from above also. The bathroom had extreme foul smell coming from somewhere throughout my stay. Service - Average. Staff is responsive during the regular timings. I had to search and shout out in the hotel to find a staff to settle my bills at 6:30 AM in the morning. It took me good 10 mins to find a staff. Have taken pictures of the empty hotel lobby as an evidence. Food - Was good. No complains. Cleanliness - Rooms where clean, but outside including lobby was dirty with dust evident on the floor. My kids played on the floor for a couple of minutes and their jean got dirty with dust. Overall - Is highly overpriced for the experience it offers. The hotels charges as if if offers premium services, but offers services below par compared to even average hotels.

Leaky Ceilings, Mouldy Rooms & Indifferent Staff - A Nightmare Stay||We had booked a 2-night stay but checked out after just one -- and that felt like a mercy escape. Our so-called "suite" had water dripping from the ceiling, creating a lovely puddle right in the middle of the room. The air reeked of dampness and mould, and the walls felt as if they hadn't dried in years.||The sofas were stained, dusty, and looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the hotel opened. The bathroom was a horror show -- spider webs, dirty tiles, and zero upkeep. Even the towels were visibly used and smelled musty.||When we raised our concerns, the staff responded with complete indifference. Room service was equally useless -- slow and careless. It's like they were doing us a favor by even acknowledging our presence.||Despite multiple complaints, there was no attempt at damage control. No apologies, no room change, no service recovery. Clearly, guest comfort is not on their list of priorities.||If you value your time, money, and sanity -- stay far away from this hotel. This isn't hospitality; it's neglect wrapped in damp walls.
I recently stayed at Hotel Central Heritage ( new hotel ) in Darjeeling and was thoroughly disappointed. The property is unclean and poorly maintained, with smelly rooms, dirty washrooms, and unhygienic wardrobes. To make matters worse, there's sewage water near the hotel premises, which is both unpleasant and unacceptable.||||The staff, especially at the reception, are rude and clueless, lacking basic hospitality skills. The reservation team is not based in Darjeeling, and their response time is frustratingly slow. The team is rigid with policies, with no flexibility or decision-making capability.||||Though this hotel was once under ITC, the new management is far from professional. It seems, The website photos are heavily edited and do not reflect the actual condition of the hotel. During rainfall, water started seeping into our room, which was shocking.||||Additionally, the prices on their website are inflated, making it a terrible value for money. In contrast, Summit Hotel nearby offers a far better experience, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere, even during breakfast. We had breakfast in Sumeet and understood with the same price we could stay here. ||||I strongly advise against booking Hotel Central Heritage new hotel unit. It was one of the worst hotel stays I've experienced, and I would never recommend it to anyone.||||It's worth for only 1500 room price. Big no for 3000 to 7000 range from my side. ||||Rating: 1 out of 5
Worst hotel. They are using fake ITC name beacuse no one will pay 500 for a night for such pathetic hotel. Rooms are very bad. Rats in the room. I am not kidding. The rats ate our woollen caps. Lets talk about staff - Extremely extremely rude. They think they are the owners. The manager is always yelling on guests. The reception guy Lama is very rude. We booked for a king bed room and paid for it and he gave us Twin bed room for no reason. no refund no apology but yelling. Do not fall for the ITC scam. It is and was never ITC. Location is pathetic. No views, no sunlight, no ventilation. nothing.
It's a prehistoric property. There's a reason they mention "formerly ITC" everywhere because without that line, it will be difficult for them to justify the price of the rooms. No slippers in room, no dental kit. Of course we didn't ask for it either as the stay was short but just putting out the drawbacks. Ventilation of the rooms were poor, no fan or AC, deluxe room windows opened to a dark alley where one could hear common commotion. The reception area is nice, breakfast area is good. Basically, they maintained the initial impression but the rooms are a big let down. You will find much nicer property for the same price in the same vicinity. This property can very well be a nice museum, doesn't make it a nice place to stay overnight.

Do Not Stay Here I had a very bad experience at this hotel. The place felt haunted from the moment I arrived. I kept hearing strange human singing coming from the washroom, even when no one was inside. Even more disturbing were the loud footsteps coming from inside the walls - it was impossible to sleep. This is not just a cleanliness or service issue; it genuinely felt unsafe and disturbing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid it at all costs.
Wrong listing by at least 2 portals- this site and AGODA.com.||I booked Super Delux Room for 2 nights-19-21.4.25. The listing shows this room with valley view. On this site also it is claimed mountain view rooms.||We were allotted room no. 216 in a dharmshala like building opposite the main heritage building on which name the hotel is cheating.||Instead of valley view, the room shows a kachra view. Debris and rotten waste are seen from the windows. Shabby entrance and dark corridors make things more unpleasant.||The hotel is fooling this website and others. The portals are not cross-checking the cheat.||I requested to the counter guy (Mr Rana) about the contradiction in view from the room. The reply was not like from a hospitality man. He was unwelcoming and said 'There is no room with a valley view'.||The portal may recheck with hotel and correct the listing. The dharmshala building must be Rs 1500 less in price.||Alternatively, there can be a separate listing/ room category.||Tourists, if want a decent stay, may confirm which building they reserve their room.||The location of hotel is near Mall Road, good for some. |There is no parking place.|-U K Jain, Delhi
