Anantam Retreat

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Anantam Retreat Hotel at Darjeeling near Darjeeling Mall Road, and I must say the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the entire staff. Every team member was incredibly polite, respectful, and genuinely eager to help with anything I needed. It's clear that customer service is a top priority at this hotel. The food was absolutely delicious--whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal was a delight. The variety, taste, and quality were outstanding, making each dining experience something to look forward to. A special mention goes to Ganesh, a member of the staff who truly made our stay unforgettable. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. His guidance and support were invaluable, and he made our experience at the hotel even more special. Ganesh is a wonderful person, and I cannot thank him enough for his kindness. The service, the food, and the overall ambiance of Anantam Retreat made it a memorable stay. I can confidently say that whenever I return to Darjeeling, this will be my go-to hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend Anantam Retreat to anyone looking for a top-notch experience in Darjeeling. You can book this place with your eyes closed--you won't be disappointed. Briefly saying rooms are top notch with premium quality bed, chairs, wardrobe, tv including bathroom amenities. I think very few hotels are there in comparison to this in Darjeeling if I compare the above. But but now comes the behaviour and hospitality. They behave like they are guests. No timely morning tea. You have to awake them to avail this facility. If you ask for coffee instead of tea they firstly remind you above the price. Food quality is disgusting. How serves light gravy chicken with roti. Despite of informing them about roti they made light gravy like we used to serve to patients. I will request the management if they see my review kindly change the staffs otherwise such a well maintained hotel will sooner or later run in loss.

Nicely decorated and near to the main market. However during summer you need to book ac rooms as some rooms lack proper ventilation. staff are well behaved and don't forget to taste the Tibetan food counter next the hotel, it's awesome.

Worst behaviour,room gyser was not working. We gone through agent, so we don't know about payment, and it's really means wrost kind of people because they are saying lie also.

The worst hotel i have ever been in. 1. Stale odor in the rooms. 2. No ventilation 3 Very dirty, smelly and unhygienic washrooms. 4. They showed me 2 other rooms and the washrooms were in the same pathetic condition.

Nice hotel. Rooms are bit small but location wise it is very nice. And not but the least Ashim is an excellent guy who served us.

Rooms r excellent. Behaviour of the staff is v good and polite. Very friendly atmosphere. Must stay here if u r going to Darjeeling.

Worst hotel....very rude staff....no heater....poor hot water.....shower not working. Never recommend to stay here
