The whole experience was very nice. The rooms were very tidy and cozy, the owner was super nice and friendly, and you will get homely food here which is a big plus. The location was good as it provides an excellent view of the Kanchenjunga mountains, the city, and the nearby hills. However to get to the hotel you have to climb down a lot.

If you're looking for peace and tranquility, this homestay is perfect. It's nestled in a very serene area with breathtaking views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. The calm and quiet surroundings make it an ideal getaway from the chaos of city life. However, don't expect big markets or urban conveniences, as the place is quite far from the city. It's more suited for those who want to relax and soak in nature.

Mr. Santosh Tamang and his brother are very good people. We had a great stay here. Felt like family and location is also decent. Main road is very far (and uphill) so thats the only con...but rooms are good, view is amazing, food is decent, and the price is also reasonable. Highly recommended rather than staying in costly hotels and buring your wallet.

Rooms are comfortable and view from our room was mesmerizing. Food was wholesome and nutritious. Caretaker is really nice and friendly. Highly recommended.

Room 203 was immaculate, boasting stunning panoramic views of the valleys and mountains. We woke up to breathtaking views of the Kangchenjunga range. The bathroom was spacious and spotless, with a constant warm water supply. Delicious, healthy meals and warm drinking water were always available. Our hosts treated us with exceptional kindness, making us feel part of their family. Mr. Santosh Tamang ensured our comfort and relaxation. For those seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature, Russell Homestay is ideal. I wholeheartedly recommend it for a serene and memorable Darjeeling experience.

It was an amazing experience. Given the location it's best suited if you're willing to enjoy the beauty of the mountain with the nature. The view from our room was beyond beautiful. Besides, the service was wonderful. All the members were so warm and treated us with utmost care. They indeed made us feel at home with their warm and loving nature. Pocket-friendly, lovely people, beautiful landscape and picturesque view. Food was just like home-cooked meals. Would love re-visiting again..!

It is amazing budget friendly Homestay near Dali Monastery. Just don't expect hotel like services and it is remote location esp at night .
