The hotel is in a quiet lane, very centrally located. The property is cozy. charming with small cottages. Perfect for extended family gatherings. Children enjoy the outdoors, hot chocolate and meeting the resident pet rabbit. Service is prompt and pleasant.

Chutti was a perfect spot for a quiet weekend getaway with friends. I had asked for a pickup from the station and the driver was waiting for me. We were greeted with a lovely home made local lemonade "lebu jol" with lemons grown in the owner's garden. The owner and his wife happened to be there and provided especial in guiding us through the delicious options of Bengali, Continental and Chinese dishes. The property itself is simple and tasteful done to look like simple village structures. Flowers were tastefully arranged and soothing strains of soft Rabindra Sangeet played throughout the property. Overall - Great Food. no noise and lovely rooms. A+ all the way.

For many people in Kolkata, finding a somewhat impromptu weekend getaway, can be a challenge, and that too without burning a big hole in your pocket. My family and I, with two young kids, and some friends, spent 2 nights and 2 days in Shantiniketan at Chhuti Resort. A family run business, our experience in the resort was just what the doctor ordered (without the doctor). Imagine a no-frills resort where the focus is on spending countless hours, immersed in conversations with your co-travellers; amazing food to break the conversations; a bit of shopping and touristy stuff at the local haats, and then back to the resort for a nap in a well air-conditioned, well-appointed room, with attached bathroom. I remember waking up in the morning at 5 am and finding the quiet of the morning, interrupted by countless birds, with their unique tunes. There is no booze in the resort, but you can carry your own and have copious amounts in the privacy of your rooms, which are of a decent size. Going and coming was quite easy with several trains plying back and forth from Kolkata. We took the Shatabdi afternoon train, and returned on the late evening Vande Bharat train. This is a must visit and I am glad I found this weekend getaway, just 2 hours by train, from Kolkata. Highly recommended.

This property is really good. Overall service is also good. The staff are good and cooperative. Food service is also good.

Excellent service, great stay, amazing food, lovely ambience, please eat all your meals here when in Santiniketan. Bengali, continental and Chinese food available here. TVs have Netflix and Amazon Prime. Prices are reasonable here compared to other places.

Amazing experience. Staff behavior is absolutely good. Homely ambience. Food price is little costly. But overall is good.

Excellent property with brilliant ambience. Centrally located but away from the traffic makes it a perfect abode of peace and tranquility. Wonderful ambience and lovely rooms. Awesome food, specially the continental dishes. Very friendly staff providing prompt service always with a smile. Overall a great experience.
