Shantobitan Tourism Property earlier Santiniketan Tourist Lodge-WBTDCL

Very good location. Reliance retail is just across the road and public transport like Toto is immediately available. The property is very well maintained, great swimming pool and rooms are well equipped with daily essentials. Refrigerator, Hot water Flask, TV etc is provided and other items like iron is available on demand. Kitchen is very well maintained and food is tasty. Staff is very helpful, always available.

Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. Overall is good. Conveniently located. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Food is very good and the price is reasonable. Has decent accommodation for drivers. Careful measure needs to be taken by the management to have a bit better maintenance of the room like stain free mirror and similar. Once implemented, rooms will be literally flawless. Will certainly come stay once again.

This is a tourist lodge operated and maintained by Tourism department, Govt of West Bengal. There are normal ac rooms, cottages, suits etc. I have the opportunity to stay here for one night during visit in bolpur. The main positive of the property is its location as it is situated at the heart of the bolpur city. The property is quite big and spacious. The rooms are tidy clean comfortable and loaded with amenities. Unfortunately during only visit the swimming pool was out of order through. The property also has a inhouse resturant which serves various kinds of Bengali Chinese and continental dishes. They also arranges local Baul song performance on Friday and Saturday evening. The property is family friendy, secure and has lots of space for parking todderls etc. Recommend if you want a comfortable contemporary and luxurious stay in shantiniketan.

This place is Really wonderful... Best for short holidays and the room service is very fast... Rooms are so clean and spacious...Behaviour of all staff members are very pleasant and they have good demeanor to every guests... Food is very tasty and worth of money... All reason gives it a 5 star rating

This is a best place to stay ..the facilities and the location is very good.. swimming pool is well maintained..I felt Room sizes are bit smaller as compared to other wbtdc property....balcony is not there with all category of rooms...overall nice experience...

Overall property is really nice, but sadly that is the only good thing. Rooms are very small for the price paid. Service is poor, have to tell multiple times for getting any basic service also. Restaurant is pathetic, it is difficult to imagine how they prepare such horrible food - we had ordered mutter paneer which was literally inedible.

We stayed in a Deluxe AC Luxury Cottage. We liked the property but were expecting at least two bedrooms. However, it turned out to be one room. They did put an additional foldable bed in the room with a firm mattress. However, I wish they would have indicated in the description that it was one room in the cottage. The bathroom was fine and a good size. The staff went out of their way to address our needs so full marks on that. The location is good as well. Out of the four days, we had breakfast only once as we had to be at other places. However, options for vegetarians were not many. We had poori and aloo sabzi which were good but I would definitely expect more readily available vegetarian breakfast items. They should consider instituting at least a mini buffet with a few vegetarian items. Overall a good stay, friendly and helpful staff, nice looking and well maintained place, and right outside is a main market area which adds to the convenience. For improvements, I would recommend a redesigned online booking experience with clear descriptions for each of the room options and a better restaurant experience to attract the considerable number of vegetarians who would likely consider their facilities while visiting Santiniketan. Also, I don't know if there is an exercise room but would be a good idea if there isn't one. Especially given that this is near Santiniketan, a meditation room would also be a nice touch.

Government tourist lodge, great location, huge area. Plenty of parking, Rooms are very good, service is usually not upto the mark, little bit slow. Behaviour of the staff are good. Condition of the rooms are good. Food quality is very good. All types types of food available. Are is well maintained and decorated
