Low cost meal thali only served in dinning place not in your room... This sound not satisfied dont know why coz bill will be the same although. But location is 5 star its so close to sonajhuri hut. Just 5 minutes in toto from hotel. Rooms are good you can get all amenties like wardrobe, dressing table, electric cattle tea pouch with sugar,cups ,glass,two complimentry water pet bottles ,guisar in bathroom,but water dripping from ac on floor constantly that sound is so irritating. Dnt know other rooms conditions. Every day for lunch and dinner time they call constantly for your orders. If you changed plan to dinner outside and see others restaurants are closed then You Have to order your dinner under 9:00 pm otherwise you have to eat only rice and dal. One handi rice is more than one but less for two so you have to order 2 handi bowls rice for a couple and remains some extra. After all this a budget friendly hotel and you can bargain too.

*4/5 Stars* I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel, conveniently located within a 15-20 minute walking distance from the vibrant Sonajhuri Hat. The surroundings were serene and peaceful, making for a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel staff were exceptionally well-behaved, courteous, and attentive to our needs. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Room service was prompt and efficient. Although the hotel offered complimentary breakfast, unfortunately, the food quality didn't quite meet our expectations. The dishes lacked flavor and variety. Moreover, the food service was slow, and we often had to wait for our orders. Despite these culinary missteps, I would still recommend this hotel as a great place to enjoy your vacation. Its lovely environment, excellent staff, and comfortable rooms make up for the shortcomings in the food department. *Pros:* Nice environment, well-behaved staff, comfortable rooms, good room service *Cons:* Food quality not up to the mark, slow food service *Recommendation:* Ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat, but consider exploring external dining options.

The dishes are rich in flavor, capturing the essence of traditional Bengali cooking. The place tends to get crowded during peak seasons, like in winter, so you might have to wait around 20 minutes for a table. Despite the rush, the service is efficient, and the staff maintains high standards in serving. Overall, it's a great spot for enjoying Bengali cuisine at an economical price without compromising on quality or experience.

Myself with my wife alongwith my dearest relatives wanted to visit Shantiniketan but greatest part was to have a decent hotel cum restaurant near iconic Sonajhuri Haat. Finally we are lucky enough to get two rooms in Sonajhuri Bagan Bari Hotel and Restaurant. We had stayed in this property for consecutive four days. We extend our heartfelt warm regards to our beloved Rahul and all the staff of this property for making us unbelievable comfortable stay. We strongly recommend to visit this property to all the gentleman who are planning to visit Shantiniketan in near future. Rooms, food, service, cleanliness and reasonable room rents with polite behaviour of the staff will attract you.

Completely miss management. Cleaning issues. One time you check in side after that they will forget you.. they probably prefer you complementary breakfast. But it is a scam. You have to bye drinking water also. You don't get perking on there's parking lot . You have to park your car any side of main road. I have face all those things. Actually one you pay your bill after that they will forget you. Last but not the least after paying all the bills we did not get our complementary breakfast also. They said all food are sold out. Even they didn't keep their food for already booked customers. So complementary breakfast is a scam.

Nice new roadside property at very cozy and peaceful location at walking distance from Sonajhurir hat. Ballavpur wildlife sanctuary just opposite to the resort will give you a jungle feel specially during night. Staffs are very polite and helpful.Food was nice and delicious,hope in coming days they will add a few more varieties in breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights stay during last week except one night disturbance due to late night party by a few nonsense guests.

This stay exceeded all expectations. The rooms and services were great. Each and every staff was very well mannered and attended promptly to all our requirements. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We got a beautiful view of Sonajhuri from our rooms. The food was delicious and homely, it was sooooo good. During the evening special Baul program was organized which was so appropriate to the ambience of Shantiniketan. Overall we had a very satisfactory and pleasant stay at Sonajhuri Bagan Bari. Thanks to the manager who was very helpful and guided us very well. Thanks to all the staff.

Pre booking system is worse, taking double price for prebooking. Actual room rent is 2k which is very costly as respect to the service and location. Service is very bad. Food quality also bad. We have booked 2nd floor room. But they dined that this is not 2nd floor room this is ground floor room.. they misguided us while we did pre book. It is 20-25mins walking distance from sonajhuri hat.. there is big problem to get toto/riksaw. Complementary breakfast is also bad. Butter toast have no butter, some of the bread not toasted. They called "daal" as sabji.. we just disappointed that quality of service. Ordered food at 7:30p.m we get it at 10:15p.m.
