Malgudi Resort Purulia

I had a pleasant stay at Malgudi Resort. Though it's located a little away from the main road, that actually adds to its charm--it's a peaceful and quiet place, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating, always attending to our needs with a smile, which made the experience even better. The room quality could use some improvement, but it was still manageable and didn't take away from the overall comfort. Overall, I'm satisfied with my stay and would recommend it to those looking for a calm and friendly place to unwind in Purulia.

A good dormitory arrangement for 12-15 people, very well suited for rock climbing groups. 5 minutes walk away from Mathaburu rock faces. The stay has two nice and clean toilets, bunk bed type arrangement for 12 to 15 people. Food available at the resort restaurant opposite.

Nestled in the middle of a forest, Malgudi Resort was a home away from home for me for the 2 days that I put up there. The room had a great view overlooking hills; a beautiful garden right in front of the rooms that was often visited by butterflies and birds. There was ample vehicle parking space as well. The staff was very hospitable and friendly. The rooms and the resort is equipped with all amenities that may be required for a short stay. The food was delicious and pretty much like home food. Mr. Gautam, the owner was chatty, courteous and very hospitable. Summing up, Malgudi Resort was compact, cozy, hospitable and peaceful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and highly recommend it if you are looking for a getaway from city life and spending some time in nature.

When we selected Malgudi Resort, it was just reading few online reviews and going through the images. To be very frank, never expected anything except a place to stay in a good location and with clean room service. But it was a real surprise for us, such a nice hospitality, good clean rooms n toilets, awesome food quality and service- didnot expect that. To summarise, a very good place to spend few days with good site seeing and enjoying the calmness of the forest.. Will love to visit again..

It was an awesome experience and a very recreational experience. The staffs were very courteous and were jolly enough to serve the customers. Want to take a special call for Mr. Gautam, the resort owner. His friendly attitude towards us made a more beautiful stay in the resort. He was there to attend us in a very selfless manner. We shared some life experiences with each other also. Have made up my mind that whenever I go to Ajodhya hills for a trip, "Malgudi Resort" will be my first preference.

Wonderful place to stay in the lap of nature. Staff and people in the resort are very much co-operative and helpful. Would like to visit again. Once again thanks for hospitality extended.

The resort is situated at the foothills of the Ajodhya range. Nestled among the high trees, this resort is one of the secluded places where a person can have a hermit-like experience. I had a great time there.

Staff behaviour is truly good. Food is awesome. Location is wonderful. Rooms and tents both are spacious and comfortable. Very clean property.
