Resort Ichche Kuthi Mangalganj

We had a great experience with the management, and the service was top-notch. The staff member who attended to us was very friendly and helpful. This place is fantastic! The surroundings are serene, and the cleanliness is impressive. Highly recommend it!!

The place was quite okay. Ambience was good, it's a peaceful place. Who wants to take a break from city life, must visit here. Rooms were not that good, there are a lots of scope for improvement but don't know why they are not doing it. Cost is also a bit overpriced in my opinion, compared to the location and the kind of rooms they have. Food was really good, probably the best part of them. Service was again very good, all the onboarded staffs were polite, helpful and cooperative.

Loved the experience. Visited for a one night weekend trip and it was worth it. Stayed in a samosa cottage and it's very spacious. I personally loved the service and the food although the (head of the staffs) was a bit arrogant and not wanting to help. The other staffs were very polite and helpful. The location is amazing for a trip. Recommended

Recently visited the place for a day trip. It was a great experience! The food, ambience and staff hospitality was commendable. The room was good, however I believe the washroom can be improved. We couldn't avail the boat ride, though. Our plan was to visit Parmadan pre-lunch and the boat ride post-lunch. Hence, I suggest it's better to do the boat ride before visiting Parmadan. Would definitely recommend everyone to visit there!

Extremely overpriced rooms. There is practically nothing that you would enjoy. Housekeeping is non existent, rooms and bathrooms were never cleaned the 3 days we stayed. The bathroom had leaking faucets, local made geysers which do not work, no bath kit provided. With the price they charge you can stay in a decent hotel anywhere else. There is nothing worth seeing in the place and I also feel the place is unsafe if you plan to go with your family. Rest, your choice.

I would have rated this spot even lesser than 1-star but there was no such option!! Practically, they are extremely overpriced as compared to their useless services. I shall mention all points individually.. 1. Rooms- The amenities provided by the authority were miserable. We have paid them the amount was similar to a 4-star property for a period of 21 hours. The bed-sheet, pillow covers,quilts was very dirty and evil smelling. They intentionally used them multicolored to hide multiple stains. If those were made of white colour then everyone should have rejected them right away. Solution- Quilts must have white cover to show it's visible maintenance. Bed sheets, Pillow covers and towels must be white for the same. 2. Bathrooms were stinking throughout the stay. They sprayed multiple times, pretended to clean twice but failed to remove the faecal odour. Solution- Proper servicing and maintenance. One personal kit with soap,dental kit, shaving kit is easily affordable at asked tariff. 3. Food served unhygenically using reusable plates. The person,who was cleaning the table with dirty cloth was picking the food items with the same unwashed hands. During booking we mentioned about our vegetarian guests , they charged the same but didn't arrange their evening snacks initially and their main course was not up to the mark. Obviously, don't ask about the type and quality of the food! You will surely remember their fried rice. Solution- Employees should be taught about maintenance of hygiene. Proper cleaning of Utensils or else use and throw plates usage. 4. They don't have any rules for the guests. Few guests were shouting and burning crackers till 3.30AM. We literally spent sleepless night. Solution- There must be a limit at night for recreation without hampering peace of the other guests. 5.The Mangalgunj Location is overall an average one. The "Kata saheb" is overhyped there and probably he has set for his motherland well before as we Bengalis have exiled him back torturing every night. What I found positive only about this location is few locals have got their job in different guests houses and that may be one reason to visit this place. Location of the "Nil sahaeber kuthi" is the current post office and it has lost it's enigma to be a place for paranormal ambience.. The river/canal bank was littered with thousands of plastics since ages. No cleaning is done there by the local authority. To be precise , Mangalgunj is a day-time picnic spot and "Kata saheb" has became a brand for running local businesses. As he has exploited the ancestors of the locals ,Kata Saheb has paid off his debt by helping them in earning bread and butter by his virtual presence. Staffs are amazing, location at night is very beautiful loved it... nearby forest and boat ride is a bonus... had a beautiful experience.
