It's located in the lap of nature. Though some rooms are not so airy but rooms of top floor are really nice.
Rooms are beautiful and specious. Team of the atithi nivas are very co-operative and hotel residing near forest area and you can view or fill nature, some time you get peacock's sound.
Hotel room was good bt bathroom space too much small and ac's outer pipe hanging on it..so water drop down all ways on latrine pan commode. Food quality was good and desi chiken price little bit high..
I have been to Ajodhya Hills twice before, but the third time experience was not so good. And mostly the reason was Ajodhya Guest House. Though the rooms were overpriced still booked the property because it seemed to be nicely located, so it is. But the service & staff are not just up to the mark. Check-in time is 10am, but rooms were not ready even when we arrived at 1.30pm. Asked for breakfast next day at 8.15am but their response was negative rather they just continuously reminded us of the check-out which is 9am. There seemed to be no communication between the manager & his staff. Food was heavily overpriced. A very basic fish-rice meal is charged Rs 110/- and you won't get any other place to eat within 2kms from this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, rather choose from the many other hotel options in the foothills..
The room they gave us last night was quite good, a triple bedroom, but this morning we had to change to another room that was big but not that good in other aspects: geyser was missing, ventilation inadequate, overall drab look. Food was mostly good, quite tasty, except for the fact that the chicken was undercooked. Location is good, just adjacent to the Ayodhya Hills forest office, beautiful scenery and behaviour of the staff was good, but serving during meals is slow.
Overall experience: Pathetic The only good thing is location. It's located at Ayodha hills. Rest of it was pathetic. The rooms in the 2nd floor was decent. However our geser wasnt working. The rooms in the ground floor and 1st floor were horrible. The rates are pretty high. Food is okayish. They asked for 600/kg for barbeque chicken! That was like super expensive. A chicken that you can get at 180 is charged at 600!! The manager said the rooms are like 6000!! However as we had local connections we got it at 1500. Overall shabby. Super expensive food. We confirmed a car, but then they said it's not confirmed and charged us extra. It was a bad experience. Missed the local flavour. Purulia is also known for its local made hard drink Mohuya which costs 10-20/ glass. The hotel staff asked 500 for a bottle! This is way pathetic!
Good place to stay with family and friends. Rooms are not so big but still ok. Foods are good. Hotel stuffs are very helpful and friendly. They always ask for any kind of support.
