Stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days.||Food was homely but tasty. Non spicy and non oily but still tasty.||Service given by Mr Parera ( mgr operation) and Mr Anurag was excellent. It was my first trip ever with my parents. Everything was new including the car drive, the roads, the mountains, the monkeys and just everything ||||The journey was full of adventure as we started from our Noida home & my father ditched the thick mist on NH 24. We crossed Ram Nagar to cruise towards Jim Corbett. We reached Jim Corbett main point only to explore that the location was still about 70 kms from there and into further deep jungle and mountains.||||It was already 4 pm in the evening and was getting hazier. Cerelac was something I was to feed upon during travel & it really tasted great since I was only at home food so far. My parents ate some delicious meals, which smelled like Chilly Chicken and Fried rice; only which I got to know recently from my mom ||||The jungle was dense with trace of almost no one around other than a few monkeys straying at almost every turn with their little ones. Monkeys are commonly sighted at these places. As we moved ahead, we found a deadly land slide where a notice clearly called out that "the route is closed for all kinds of traveler's including all vehicles". Unsure, we should call it a bravery or silliness, but my dad drove ahead, silently, slowly and composedly through this patch.||||We reached the resort around 7 and there were guards to escort us to the property. It was a lush green place, full of tall trees and thick long plants all around. River Kosi went downstream right in front of us, giving life to the greens and to thousands of wild animals staying in the jungle.||||The Food was awesome as they called it out. My father categorically loved their fresh butter milk and chicken. They also served a lot of item which were kids friendly.|||| ||||Property Category: 4 Star||||Food: 4.5 Star||||Hospitality: 4 Star||||Child Friendly: 3 Star (due to it's location, and dense forest around it)||||Couple Friendly: 4 Star||||Bathroom: 3.5 Star
"Call of the Wild" is a place worth visiting for wildlife lovers. The place is not very far from Corbett & has a plethora of activities to offer including wildlife safari, bornfire and barbecue, breakfast on the nearby river in the middle of hills and much more. |The rooms are spacious and breakfast has a variety of options to choose from. |Go with friends / family to have an amazing time at this place. |Ayush Nanda and his family manages this place and they are amazing people. They really make a lot of effort to ensure a personalized and memorable experience. ||
We chose Call of the Wild resort for our short escape to a sub-300km getaway from Delhi and it lived up to our expectations of providing us a comfortable, serene and peaceful stay for 2 days.||The place lives up to it's name. Located in Belaghat, it has humble and cosy cottages amidst lots of greenery of Jim Corbett. A place you would want to go and relax away from the noise and crowd as well as an adventurous night safari.||You can go to the Kosi riverbank too which is a short walk from the property. You can also enjoy playing games in the campus. ||They also provide night safari which we opted too but couldn't spot any wild animals other than a herd of deer. The food is also quite good. The outside dining area is quite a place. Reaching the venue, you might face a bit difficulty but once you reach, you really feel away from the hustle and bustle of the citylife.||Overall, would love to go there again and again.
I was suggested by a family friend to go to the property. I looked it up on trip advisor and found it good enough to visit there with family. The property is far from jim corbett but worth travelling 40 km more from there. It had 8 rooms and 8 cottages so not a big property but had all the amenities. They served fresh food and staff was courteous and helpfull. Infact the property owner himself was there to ensure that we have a good stay. The only issue we had was the pool do not have cleaning machine in it so because of rain it was dirty and the kids missed going to pool. Overall a nice place to go if u are alone, adventurous and close to nature.
Call of the wild is unique. We had 4 nights there and we could have stayed for much longer. The location is gorgeous - lots of walks - with birds, butterflies and wildlife. There are villages and holy sites. Call of the wild has the best staff, with a superb chef and team. We are now back in the U.K. and we're already planning our next trip. Thank you call of the wild!
I reviewed Call of the Wild in 2018 and said that we'd stayed 4 nights and wished that we could have stayed for longer. ||||Well we've just returned from an 8 night stay. Once again we've had a great time. ||||The location is gorgeous - lots of walks - with birds, butterflies and wildlife. There are villages and holy sites. Call of the wild has the best staff, including Harish and Deepak.||||It's not for everyone. There is no WIFI, the electricity is not always available and neither is hot water. But it is for us!
The place is calm, quaint and has a rustic feel..staff is very courteous, especially the restaurant staff. The chef prepared excellent food for all the three meals...sitout area was spacious and we sat in the open for couple of hours every evening for drinks and some antakshari :) unfortunately the rooms and play area have been neglected and it seems the neglect is deliberate...the pool was not functional as well...
