I recently stayed at Hotstel, and I must say, it was an absolutely outstanding experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and top-notch hospitality. The rooms were impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and equipped with all modern amenities. What truly sets Hotstel apart is their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. The food was delicious, the ambiance was cozy yet luxurious, and the service was prompt and professional. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, Hotstel is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and feel at home. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning. Situated in the perfect location. Very friendly and accommdating couple managing the hotel. My mum stayed there for 9 days alone and she was very safe and well taken care of. A small kitchen would have been good. Thank you

I recently stayed at Hotstel Tapovan, and it was such a great experience. The vibe of the place is incredibly relaxed and welcoming--perfect for travelers looking to connect or unwind. Being newly built, everything felt fresh, modern, and well-maintained, which added to the comfort. It's a great place for backpackers, and like-minded couples will feel just as at home here. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the common areas had a nice, social atmosphere. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend local spots or answer questions. The location is also a big plus--just a short walk to the main attractions in Tapovan and close to nature. What really sets this place apart is the sense of community it fosters. Whether you're traveling solo, with friends, or as a couple, it's easy to feel at home here. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable yet memorable stay in Tapovan.

The location is good walking distance to places here however they really let themselves down with the hygiene and cleanliness, it's really bad. The dorms are really bad. The staff are friendly but speak little English which is understandable. They sleep upstairs on the sofas that people lounge and relax on during the day. There's no mop or broom that I could see in the place. I ate some food here and it was pretty good but I really have doubts on the hygiene practises. I did get sick during my stay here and decided to go elsewhere.

If I could rate this property lower than 1 star I would. We were initially grateful for the early check-in at this property, but unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. Upon entering our room, we found it in an absolutely filthy state--dust and dirt covered every surface, and the sink and mirror were disgusting. We had to clean the room ourselves, but even after that, the overwhelming stench of sewage lingered in both the bathroom and bedroom. I reached out to the property, informing them of the issue and giving them permission to enter and clean while we were out. The staff acknowledged my request, but when we returned at 7:30 PM, nothing had been done. I followed up with another message, but again, no one came. Meanwhile, four staff members were just sitting in the lobby, chatting. We approached the so-called "manager," who showed us three other rooms, all of which had the same unbearable sewage smell. When I asked about the issue, he casually dismissed it, saying it was a problem with the entire area that couldn't be fixed. At that point, we decided to leave, as it was impossible to stay in such unhygienic conditions. The manager initially tried to tell us that we needed to pay for 'day' we had stayed (even though we had not slept in the room yet) but when we took the time to explain how that is unfair considering the condition of the room and the lack of problem solving he understood and allowed us to leave in peace. However, things took an even worse turn when I later received a call from the "owner." He aggressively demanded that we return to pay, even going as far as threatening to call our embassy with our passport details. He continuously interrupted me, argued with me, and even called me a liar when I mentioned that we had to clean the room ourselves. When I told him I would be leaving an honest review on Google and Booking.com, his response was, "Go ahead, I don't care," before abruptly hanging up. To make matters worse, I had to cancel the room myself and take the cancellation charge on Booking.com, which is completely unfair given the condition of this property. No one should have to pay a single penny for a place like this. I strongly urge others to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Apart from frequent power cuts during the stay, i enjoyed my stay here. They gave me balcony room with stunning views. And had the best time here. It was cozy indeed.

Three of us booked a 4-bed dorm for Holi 2025. The staff were, at best, inexperienced and incompetent in handling the rush. At the reception, multiple people were complaining about their rooms being allotted to others. In our dorm, four people who weren't even booked for that dorm came in and asked us to step out while they took a shower. We ultimately checked out after about 4-5 hours, and they were still asking us to pay the full price. After some reasoning, they didn't charge us, and we left this place for good.
