Hotel MJ Hills Rishikesh

Cockroach infested. Dirty, bad location. Staff don't speak English so can't communicate with them. Rooms are not cleaned. We have to constantly ask for clean towels etc. saw a rat running in the lobby on the folds on the roof. Had to leave early one morning and we were locked into the hotel. No one at the front desk to assist had to find out own way. Very bad experience. The water didn't come out of the shower head and was not warm water. The wifi was terrible. I suggest you stay at another place. Really bad service. The person working at the admin office manging the bookings (not located on site) was more helpful.

I reserved this hotel from Booking.com at around 3000/- for 4 people for one day. Just the day before our check in they notified me the same booking can't be processed due to some unforeseen reasons. I called them to check and they said the same thing that the room was not in the condition that they can give it to us as per the booking. But I tried from a different number asking for the availability and they confirmed yes they have the rooms and the rate they said was higher than the booking.com. Clearly they have rooms but due to the cheap price at which we booked the room, they just didn't want to give us rather interested in selling this with higher prices to others. If they cannot accept the same price then why do they even register their property on such websites and as a result we need to face these circumstances while we have all of the train reservations and bookings. Don't book this hotel from any website there is a high chance for the cancellation of the booking.

I stayed here for 3 days in a family room. They only provided 2 bottles of water a day and charged for an extra bottle and getting the normal tap water was so difficult as it takes hours for them to provide the water. Additionally they don't clean the rooms or provide any toiletries, tea and milk solids were given once and never replaced. I included the breakfast and it was the worst experience of my life. They give bread and a toaster and butter for which you have to beg them to provide. The location is also inside a narrow steep street.

The hotel is located in a lane. There was a Smell in bath and light in bath was also insufficient. Linen was pre-used and replaced on request. Intercom was not working. There was noise disturbance in the room from the restaurant above. Overall an average property

I didn't stay much at the hotel except for night so the rooms were clean and quite, the staff members are polite and friendly, the food service is good and their dining area has a great mountain view.

Poor service, dirty room and dirty bathroom , no tv connection, broken doors. Extra charges for every single small request. Wifi not working most of times. Bathroom flash was not working Bathroom was full of mould. Highly not recommended.

Almost clean rooms. Stayed here for 9 days. Room on the first day had kind of a broken lock, saw a small cockroach too. Room from 2nd day onwards was fine, it was clean. Rooms are spacious. Staff was courteous. It's on a narrow street on an uphill kind of slope. Cars can reach though.

Rooms were clean but had very bad experience with hotel management. During checkout hotel management said that they have not received payment from booking agency even though it was prebooked by our travelling agency and they were demanding money from us. The matter was settled after going to POLICE station, we were really frustrated there. So be careful when you need to stay here.
