The farm is at a sensational site. Excellent views and a lovely garden which is clearly a battle to maintain. ||Two young men dressed in grubby tracksuits pants and tee-shirts helped us to carry our bags from the car. They seemed a little confused.||We were met by a Mr. Jeevan, the manager, who was splendidly attired in an old track suit with curry stains. He was hospitality itself when he showed us the three rooms on offer. These were in a building adjacent to the main house. ||We gratefully accepted an offer of tea and found that the owner's family had precedence at the main house verandah table and we took out tea on the charpoy beside our room. We shortly left to see the town.||We returned later and found that the bathroom needed cleaning, which I did myself as it clearly had not been touched for at least two months. Only took fifteen minutes. The housekeeping manager supplied a brush and cleaning gel. The floor of the room was dirty to the extent that it was obvious it had not been cleaned for something like a year. I tried to clean a patch about three inches square. The dirt completely clogged a handful of tissue in a few seconds. Truly filthy. The walls had several rusty trickle marks from holes in the roof and the monsoon rains. Did not bother us as the weather was fine. ||Dinner was served in the main house dining room. The dining room is a fascinating shrine to the memory of M. M. Upadhayay, a Freedom Fighter. The cook is skilled and prepared us a tasty dinner. ||That evening my wife tried to watch television. Despite plentiful attention from the housekeeping staff the subscription could not be revived. No great loss. Later, when the lights were put out, I was amazed to find that after a thirty second delay the ceiling light would magically re-light itself. It seemed immune to the command of the wall switch. I removed the bulb and had a good night's sleep.||For Breakfast we were given excellent dahi and indifferent paratha with an excellent view.||All in all the property is testimony to the amazing durability of the archictects of 1905. Essentially no maintenance has been done since that time. It could be one of the greatest tourism properties in India. It desperately needs a thorough cleaning.

I recently stayed at the Holm falm heritage and had a delightful experience. The food was delicious, the service was prompt, and the staff was exceptionally courteous. The views from the room balcony were breathtaking, offering a perfect blend of nature and tranquility. The overall stay was enjoyable, and I would highly recommend the farm for a peaceful retreat.
This place reminds me of a prefect home. what not to talk about starting from people to food, View to the accomodation, Supreme. Quickest service ever had, food is tasty like anything. Tennis court up front is ace. A good good hideout must say.
Rooms are nice, except for the krrrrr sound on the wooden floor... Ambience and greenery at the place is ultimate. I'll definitely plan a visit here again with my family and other friends.
It's a beautiful place located deep inside the mountains. It has a breathtaking view and a European feel. The breakfast is good. You have the option to play lawn tennis or ping ball.
We had the best stay ever..... This place is truly heritage and the prices are really great if you come here with family. The place is in cantonment area and is surrounded by dense forests so it's perfect place to relax and I would highly recommend to stay here.
We have been staying in Holm Farm Heritage since 2008 and have not stayed anywhere else in Ranikhet. Away from the hustle bustle, nestled in a quite hilly forest, the resort is what one needs to rejuvenate. The food is delectable at its best. The surrounding tennis court is most ideal for outdoors. The resort authorities has been preserving its colonial style architecture and interiors with much passion. We hope it stays this way.
We visited in late November as we learnt that the views of the mountain peaks are fabulous from this location. We did not stay. This is a heritage property, over a 100 years old. The rooms are large with heritage ambience and decor. They have large collection of old photographs and mountain views. The property is located in the woods. A must visit for those looking for a quiet stay in the Ranikhet mountains.
