KMVN Tourist Rest House Raniket

The hotel is a bit away from Mall road & so nothing noteworthy about view and location. The cottage executive room in which we stayed on Oct.24 was new & modern. The bathroom was also good. The hotel staff was friendly. The food served to our room & also complimentary breakfast was tasty.

The name of the property is TRH Ranikhet Kalika. The location is average. Room service is average. Seems like there is scarcity of housekeeping staffs. Restaurant is average.We have booked Cottage Deluxe Rooms. The rooms are very poorly maintained.Old buildings without any renovations. Bed sheet , bed cover, pillow were all dirty. We share the room numbers.

Great hotel, very beautiful location , between scenic nature, very near to ranikhet town, especially the new rooms are good, if you are more than 4 people I would recommend the newly built family rooms it's accommodate 5 peopl, since the hotel is run by government company is considered very safe and secure

Despite being an old property no views from the rooms. The suite was new and modern. The caretaker and KMVN was helpful to allow our EV to charge on payment.

The rooms were very old and dirty. Lowest by even KMVN standards. , Ranikhet is not as remote as Binsar and Mukteshwar but still there was no availability of toiletries, electric kettle and towels. Phone was not working, TV was not working. The wooden flooring was damaged and probably needed immediate renovation. Geysers are not effective and throw out just warm water. Basically, this place is avoidable. Stay at Nainital and come to Ranikhet for a day trip only.

Location is awesome. However, not for the people who want near the market. It is located in the lap of nature. Staff is polite and good. Service is prompt with good food. The only thing negative is the Deluxe rooms which are not up to date. They are outdated though very spacious. If the rooms were good I would have given five star ratings. Executive rooms are good but they are very limited. KMVN authorities are requested to update the Deluxe rooms also to cope up with the rush of tourists.

Super deluxe rooms are fabulous . The lower category rooms are worst . Food is OK . For food visit hotel meghdoot .

Located in very calm and serene place. Service is good. Food is tasty and fresh. Dining hall is very beautiful and newly constructed. Negative points: Rooms are very spacious but not properly maintained. Hygiene level is not up to mark. Wooden work, mats, furnitures etc are in old and torn state. In peak season price of cottage for 3 adults was only 2800/-
