Budget Homestay - Good for Young Travelers We stayed in the cheapest room at this homestay. It was clean and budget-friendly, but here are some important things to consider: 1) Not for elderly or those with knee problems - The homestay is 140 steps below the main road. You'll need to walk up and down, which is fine for young people but tough for seniors and small kids. 2) Clean washroom, but flush not working - We had to use a bucket of water to flush. 3) No latch inside the bathroom - The door closes, but there's no latch from inside. However, It's manageable if you are not that strict about the privacy. 4) No signboard on the road - You'll need to call the owner for directions. He was helpful and guided us well. 5) Dark stairs at night - The path is quiet and dark if you arrive late, but a phone torch can do the work. 6) Poor Airtel signal inside the room - Network worked better outside the room and around the property. 7) Limited eating options nearby, this property is around 6 km away from the main Ranikhet town. 8) Clean and well-kept rooms - Cleanliness was better than expected for this price. 9) Friendly and helpful owner - The host was kind and supportive throughout our stay.

Solo bike riding is always a passion for a rider. Last week, I embarked on a journey to Ranikhet, covering a one-way distance of 360 km from Noida. I started early in the morning and arrived around 3 PM. For my stay, I booked Himalayan View Stay, hosted by Mr. Ashok Pundir. The accommodation was spacious, well-equipped, and featured attached bathrooms.||The home-cooked food from the owner's kitchen was delicious, and the stay was peaceful, away from the noise of the main road. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning was truly refreshing. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it. The homestay has a total of four rooms, accommodating up to nine guests.

Hosts, Mr. Ashok and Mrs. Anjana, are incredibly kind and supportive, making every effort to ensure a memorable and relaxing experience. The homemade meals were not only delicious but also added a comforting touch to the stay. The journey to the home stay, descending and climbing 150 steps, added a sense of adventure and made the arrival even more rewarding. Their invaluable guidance, including arranging cabs for both local and nearby sightseeing, was a thoughtful and practical bonus. A perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and breathtaking scenery!

Room is big and clean but doors and window don't get shut properly, no heater available. Although view is good from the location but need to walk down about 300 meters steep slope through jungle without any proper road from dropping point to reach to home stay.

The rooms are cozy and well-maintained, offering all the comforts one would need for a peaceful getaway. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The homemade food was delicious and added a personal touch to the whole experience. However, it's worth noting that the homestay is located a few minutes' walk from the main road, requiring a steep climb up stairs, which might be challenging for elders or those with knee problems. If you're lucky, as we were, you'll also be treated to breathtaking views of the Himalayas. I highly recommend this homestay for anyone looking to experience the serene beauty of Ranikhet.

This serene homestay is situated in Kalika (6km away from Ranikhet centre). The owners are from Himachal and were cordial and welcoming. The homemade food was served fresh and hot to us. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. Additionally, all the 4 rooms here have been recently renovated. However, the location of this homestay will pose challenges for senior citizens or anyone with knee issues, as there are 130 slippery steps to reach the property. Addressing this concern could enhance accessibility for all the guests. However, the owners were kind enough to inform us beforehand. The internet was highly unstable which would cause hindrance to individuals planning to work remotely. Owners need to check on this. Overall it's a beautiful place to stay away from all the city noise.

The guest house is very clean and tidy. The food is very good and the guest house owner behaves very well. All guests can travel.
