Nandini Cottage : A premium Boutique Homestay

Staying at Nandini was an awesome experience. The location of the cottage is great ! Overlooking a valley, no sound pollution, far from the city crowd, surrounded by pine trees. And on top of all it is easily accessible as it is on the main highway connecting Ranikhet and Almora, so no detour and no driving on narrow country roads. Mornings are greeted by chirping of forest birds and evenings spend by observing the changing colors of the valley. The rooms are spacious with all amenities and detailing for the comfort of guests. The host have really given a lot of thought for small small things for the comfortable stay of the guests. It was time well spent and enjoyed. The food was really tasty without much oil and spices - just homely, as it should be. Would definitely come back again and again.

The homestay is great in terms of location, cleanliness, staff and rooms. The staff there (Bhuvan and Mukesh) were really nice and catered us well. The morning view is great as you can see Himalaya tops. The living area is designed mindfully and every decor item has been selected by heart. The only problem we faced was the location of the property, it shows up in near Ranikhet while in reality it is about 20KMs far from there. Highly recommend visiting this property if you seek solitude and peace.

A Perfect Blend of Comfort, Hospitality, and Nature I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful cottage, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. They also have a pet-friendly room, which was perfect for us since we were traveling with our pet. It was incredibly thoughtful to have a dedicated space where we could stay with our furry friend, and the room itself was just as comfortable and welcoming as the others. The location itself is absolutely magical--nestled amidst tall pine trees with a breathtaking view of the majestic Himalayas. The cottage is run by caretaker Mr Bhuvan and Chef Mr Mukesh they were very polite and avaiable all the time. Even though the owner Mr Vijay does not live at the property, he personally called to check on us , ensuring everything was perfect and that we felt comfortable from the very beginning. For those days when you prefer staying indoors, the homestay offers a great selection of indoor games and books to read, providing ample entertainment and relaxation options. It was a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring the area. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with a perfect mix of modern amenities and rustic charm. Large windows allowed us to soak in the serene views right from our bed, and the fresh pine-scented air added to the peaceful atmosphere. Waking up to the sound of birds and a view of the lush greenery outside was truly refreshing. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and every little detail--from the quality of linens to the locally inspired decor--reflected care and attention. The food was another highlight--every meal was freshly prepared, homely, and made using locally sourced ingredients. While the current offerings were already delicious, introducing a wider variety of dishes would take the dining experience to a whole new level. The location of the homestay was ideal for a peaceful getaway--serene, scenic, and close to nature. Overall, this homestay resort is a hidden gem and a perfect retreat for families, couples, or solo travelers. I'm already looking forward to returning on my next trip!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nandini, a serene retreat, close to Ranikhet and Almora, my native town and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking views of snow capped Himalayas and lush green pine forest. The property itself is a harmonious blend of comfort and charm. The rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with all the modern amenities and give a cozy vibe. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Whether it was guiding us on local treks, arranging bon fires under the starlit sky or serving delicious, locally inspired meals, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. I can't wait to visit again!

A hidden gem. Breathtaking views of snow clad mountains (Trishul peak/s clearly visible), dense pine forests to look at throughout the day and a clear night sky with the brightest of stars gazing down upon you. Mornings are announced by the chirping of a variety of birds who beat the sunrise to welcome the day and a nice trek point right behind the Nandini cottage are just some of the highlights that make this premium homestay a must visit destination. It's peacefully quiet in and around the property. Rooms/bathrooms are very clean and spacious with all the basic amenities in place. The staff is extremely cooperative providing you with a range of delicious home cooked meals and snacks. There's a library that caters well to voracious as well as just curious book lovers. The stairs to the main entrance of the property are steep and should be taken into consideration if travelling with elderly or people with challenges climbing. The owner Vijay ji is a kind and polite host; always available to guide you with regard to places of interest nearby and all other queries. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday. Thank you Team Nandini Cottage for a memorable stay. We would definitely like to visit them again. Highly recommended if you want to be close to the nature and are looking for the solace and calm that the mighty mountains offer.

The stay at Nandini was nothing less than staying at your own home. I couldn't imagine such peaceful, such a perfect warm stay can exist before coming here. The owner Uncle has given all his heart to this and each detail that he has taken care of is heights of perfectionism. Bhuvan bhaiya is a great caretaker and the food was absolutely soulful. Amazing Himalayan range view and you will surely get rejuvenated and cleansed from within. Trust my words and just book a stay at Nandini if you are also looking for a whole package of a comfortable stay in the lap of nature.

Awesome experience staying at Nandini cottage recently. Pro - Good amount of efforts by the host has been put to make rooms guest friendly. Complimentary tea coffee sachets with kettle in room, complimentary toiletries in wash area, mini fridge, TV in room with cable network, intercom, fiber wifi, steam iron with board, surplus pillows and blankets, machine washed clean bath and hand towels etc. - you won't find these in other homestays but Nandini provides them and more. Location is great with commanding view of surroundings areas. Children loved the kids play area with slide etc. Caretakers take good care of you. Cons - food menu is basic though kumaoni dishes r ok. For nonveg you need to tell them in advance as there are no meat shops nearby. Location of cottage is on mainroad but no other cottage nearby.
