10 Nautical Mile - Mountain Cottage of a Mariner

We just had a great experience at the Ranikhet homestay at 10 Nautical Miles with my family. I had a great time throughout my five days there.We were captivated by the breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayas and lush pine forest. The house itself is a serene retreat close to Ranikhet (19 km) and Almora (28 km), a lovely blend of comfort and elegance, and it has been genuinely enchanted since we arrived. The rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with all the modern comforts, giving them a cozy feel. The staffs was incredibly polite and attentive, going above and above to ensure those guests had an amazing stay. The hospitality was superb, and everything was handled with kindness and skill. The cleanliness further enhanced the pleasure of our stay. The food was another highlight; it was delicious, well prepared, and full of authentic flavors.The guests' food and well-being are looked after by the cook and caretaker, Mr. Jeevan, and his colleague. There are plenty of parking spaces available for cars. We can't wait to go back! We wholeheartedly support this place. |The approach road is a little steep, which is the only challenge. Although considerable driving experience is necessary, 4x4 vehicles may easily navigate the ascent and descent on the route from NH109 to the cottage.

The place is a gem. Brilliant property with amazing quality of welcome from owner Ajay who kept in touch constantly. The property is one of the most tasteful one I have been to... amazing view, very clean room and bathroom ... Service from Jeevan (care taker) is OUTSTANDING.... Ajay seems to be (current or retired) officer of navy ... hence you can see reflection of his taste in the property as well as the way he communicates with his guests. I would strongly recommend this beauty. Only challenge is approach road is bit steep. So with front wheel axel car, you need a bit experience driver

Did a 1 week workation. Had a very comfortable stay. Great views, cozy rooms, delicious homely food, helpful caretakers Jeevan and Deepak, wonderful host, Ajayji, all made our workation experience worthwhile. An awesome place to spend time in nature. The last little stretch of the road for reaching the cottage is very steep and a bit difficult for non hill drivers, otherwise the place is amazing Would surely recommend it for nature lovers.

We visited 10 Nautical Mile at Ranikhet last week. It was a wonderful experience. The property was well ko maintained at a great location. Food was finger licking and hygienic. Property was kids and pet friendly. The home is well decorated. Thanx a lot to the hosts and staff for making this a memorable trip for us.

Nestled in the stunning valleys of Ranikhet Almorah, the location offers breathtaking views and a serene environment. The staff, led by Ms. Purnita, were incredibly helpful and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the food--absolutely delicious! Every meal was a delight, showcasing local flavors and culinary expertise. Overall, 10, Nautical Miles is the perfect destination home for anyone seeking a unique and memorable getaway. We've already decided that this will be our go-to place for future stays!

10 Nautical Miles is the home of an Indian Navy Officer. It is accessible by car and is on the road Ranikhet to Almora. They also provide pick and drop from Kathgodam railway station. The mountain views are amazing from the balcony. The rooms are well furnished and have all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The care takers provide home cooked food both vegetarian as well as non vegetarian. There is a common sitting and dining area on the ground floor where one can relax and have meals. Ranikhet is a place to visit and can be accessed by bus or taxi. A visit to the Ranikhet Club as well as the wool weaving centre of the Kumaon Rifles Regimental Centre is worth a visit. Over all a must visit place if you want to be in the hills, and if you have furry friend there is an exclusive menu for your pets as well !||Just one suggestion, kindly expand the non vegetarian menu to include mutton and fish as well.

We stayed here with our pet dog for 6 days. The location is very scenic, approach to the cottage from NH109, is both descent and incline which 4x4 vehicles can manage easily. The cottage has been done up very tastefully by the Owners and is very comfortable. The chef Jeevan is an excellent cook. He is always ready to prepare for you whatever you like and which is possible with limited resources. Deepak is a nice boy who takes care of the cottage and very courteous. Would recommend strongly for a peaceful, comfortable holiday with your family & pet with the luxury of good food.

I really enjoyed my holidays with family over here. The location of this house is beautiful and overlooks a valley. Our host@Purnita was constantly in touch to make your experience better. The staff at the house Jeevan and Deepak really took good care of us. The food cooked by Jeevan was soo yummy especially the butter chicken. We were also lucky to see a view of a few peaks from this place. If you are looking to spend a good time with your family then this is the place to be at.
