We had an outstanding time at The Rangers Lodge! What a gift to be hosted by Imran Khan, who shared with us his expertise and passion for protecting wildlife. As a person who loves wildlife, it was inspiring for me to learn how much Imran has done and continues to do for wildlife conservation, especially tigers, and environmental education. Imran went above and beyond to arrange our safaris in Corbett National Park. We felt fortunate to have seen so many species of wildlife, including many elephants, several species of deer, jackals, two species of monkeys, numerous birds, including peacocks, a monitor lizard, and even a tiger! It was also a special pleasure to go birding along the river with Imran. The Rangers Lodge is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Our room was lovely, with a balcony overlooking Corbett National Park. The food was excellent, prepared by Mrs. Khan. She went out of her way to create delicious vegetarian meals for us. The staff was helpful and friendly and we enjoyed spending time with the Khan family. We highly recommend The Rangers Lodge for your stay at Corbett National Park.

I, along with my Australian school friends, visited the Ranger's Lodge for 5 nights/6 days from Sydney, Australia in mid-January 2025. Imran uncle's hospitality and his local knowledge of Corbett Wildlife and Birdlife is unparalleled. |Starting with the accommodation, we had resort-level clean and well maintained rooms. The best way to describe the decor is rustic with wood paneled ceilings which gave us a true lodge vibe. We were treated to delicious home-style food (Biryani, sabzis etc.) which was very much appreciated after two weeks of eating out. Further to that, Imran uncle sat around a bonfire with us and shared multiple stories from his decades of involvement in wildlife conservation (Project Tiger, to name one) and the Indian Forest Department. |His home overlooks the forest and we heard all sorts of spotted deer, peacock and monkey alarm calls at night. We also saw a herd of Sambar deer grazing in the empty field next to his house one night which was surreal in itself. |Now, to the main part of the trip: the safaris, wildlife sightings and cultural experiences. Imran uncle arranged for our pickup and drop off from Delhi along with a reliable driver who was with us for multiple safaris across Jhirna, Dhela, Dhikala, a nearby Gujjar village and a morning trip up into the Himalayas. Overall, we sighted animals such as Yellow-throated Martens, Tigers, Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Wild Boars, monkeys and langurs, peacocks, jungle fowl, vultures and a multitude of other bird species. Imran uncle personally accompanied us on a few safaris and his keen eye spotted rare species of raptors and kingfishers from afar, giving us an unforgettable experience in the Corbett landscape. The Gujjar village was a unique experience where we learnt about a tribal style of living, their beautiful architecture and their local dairy products (with some amazing chai too!). The last part of our trip included the drive up to the lower Himalayas where we were treated to more steaming chai and pahadi Maggie which is a staple in Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh. |Thank you for everything, Imran uncle and I would highly recommend his well planned and exciting itineraries to tourists within India and visitors from overseas too.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Jim Corbett and, on my aunt's recommendation, chose to stay at Imran's Ranger's Lodge. Being a first-time visitor, I wasn't sure what to expect, but from the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome by Imran and his team.||The rooms were clean, cozy, and offered stunning balcony views along with a spacious terrace area. One of the highlights was lying on the terrace bed, soaking in the warmth of the sun during the chilly weather. The wooden construction of the property added to its aesthetic charm and created a soothing atmosphere.||The food was another standout feature--delicious, home-cooked meals that Imran often shared with us. His extensive experience as a forest officer and his wealth of knowledge sparked engaging conversations, and the safaris he organized were punctual and fascinating.||Considering the quality of service, the ambiance, and the overall experience, the stay was incredibly economical. Imran is a gracious and knowledgeable host, making the visit all the more memorable. I would highly recommend staying here and definitely plan to return!
Our trip to Jim Corbett became unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional hospitality at The Ranger's Lodge. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Hungry and tired, we were welcomed with warm smiles, snacks, and rounds of hot chai, setting the perfect tone for our stay.||The first evening began with an engaging tiger documentary, followed by a bonfire. Over drinks and the crackle of flames, Imran Ji, our host and a former forest officer, captivated us with stories from his years in the jungle. His anecdotes brought the forest to life, and his patient answers to our questions made the experience truly enriching. The night concluded with a delicious spread of home-cooked dishes by Mrs. Khan, each a culinary delight.||The next morning marked the beginning of our first safari and Imran Ji joined us despite his busy schedule. His deep knowledge and passion for the forest transformed the safari into an interactive and enriching experience. Sightings of a tiger took a backseat as we marveled at the biodiversity around us. ||The lodge, a seamless blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, offered tranquility, incredible food, and unmatched hospitality. Not spotting a tiger didn't matter--this was an extraordinary experience that we will always cherish. ||If you're planning a trip to Jim Corbett, The Ranger's Lodge should be at the very top of your list. It's more than just a stay--it's an unforgettable experience.
My husband and I had a fantastic 4-day stay at Rangers Lodge. We loved the homely feeling of this lodge, had exciting jeep safaris in the Jim Corbett park seeing a huge range of animals in the wilderness (chacals, mongoose, spotted deer, monkeys, wild boar, loads of different birds small and big etc) but the highlight of the whole trip happened on our third and last safari when we saw the gorgeous female tiger. Simply stunning! We also visited an ex-nomad village (lovely people) and were taken to a breathtaking trip in the mountainous area from the top of which we saw the snow top mountains of The Panchachuli peaks of the Himalayas. This was one of my personal goals during our stay in India so, very happy! Enjoyed fully the home's super friendly atmosphere, delicious foods (thank you Mrs Khan!) and the fantastic stories of Indian animals and nature added with such good humor by Mr Imran, an expert on Indian tiger and other wildlife and nature. We can warmly recommend to all those who prefer safaris with personal, expert and enthusiastic touch. Thank you Mr and Mrs Khan as well as your lovely staff! An excellent place to stay, highly recommend it to anyone. Imran is a very hospitable and accommodating person. His safaris were brilliant and the food his wonderful wife cooked was excellent. Five stars all the way. Imran seems to have the magic touch if you can convince him to come on safari with you, we saw a tiger.
We had a 2 nights stay at this lodge. Although the room provided was ok, but the attitude of the host Mr. Imran Khan, was not at all acceptable. The food was average and the safaris overpriced. To add to everything, the host had an issue of the booking being made through a third party app instead of directly making the payment to him. To be frank, I found the behaviour of the owner extremely disrespectful with constant heckling throughout our stay for not making a booking directly at the property. Every action whether it be booking a safari( paid by us) or arranging basic necessities was as if it was a favour done to us. There is a collection of stagnant water just behind the property which has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. He also skipped the bonfire and barbecue which are an active part of his promos. Long story cut short , Please don't compromise on your mental peace and reconsider before booking your trips.
We wanted a quiet weekend away from the madding crowds and hustle-bustle of the city and of course, to spot the big cat - tiger. That's why we chose this place (The Ranger's Lodge) based on the earlier reviews on Google. We were greeted with a nice & warm home-cooked meal when we reached. However, things turned cold & tense thereafter. The owner of this property, Mr. Imran Khan was outright discourteous to us. He kept hectoring us as to why we booked the property on makemytrip.com and not directly, and how he's losing out on money due to third party commission, as if we weren't supposed to exercise our rights and our freedom of choice. We had to invariably point out the owner's hypocrisy, that he had enlisted the property on such third party apps so as to gain more traffic and traction and therefore, he had no right to lament if someone is booking through those apps and not directly. Moreover, the owner was downright condescending & patronizing in his attitude, in that he spoke as if booking a safari (paid by us) is a favor he is doing to us. In fact, we had to restrain ourselves at times so that our stay doesn't get affected anymore than it already had been. All things considered, the property is a decent one for a home-stay, the food served was likable, the owner's family was also cordial...but the owner's attitude was a major sour point on this trip of ours. Frankly, we are downgrading the property because of this. At the same time, I'd like to put this on record, don't let such home-stays ruin your weekends/trips. Rather book hotels/resorts so as to get courteous service and value for your money. NOBODY DESERVES TO HAVE A WEEKEND GETAWAY RUINED LIKE THIS!
