A decent place with basic amenities. Good for single travelers. Courteous and smiling staff, Clean well maintained rooms.

Paid Rs 2800 for a room after that they got Poor food and facilities, maintenance is poor, just bath with cold water even though the temperature is 11deg, at 11deg they didn't have hot water facilities

Hotel rooms are not at all in good condition, washroom is of very low standard with broken shower and broken toilet seat. You need to ask for hand wash and towels, otherwise these basic facilities are not available when your enter the room. Room cost is very high and you won't get even a single penny concession. They don't even provide the complementary water bottle and charging the double rate of water bottle. Food is also very costly but taste is okay. The only good thing about the hotel is you will get the mesmerizing awesome view of the mountains. Definitely not recommended.

Hotel Shail Shikhar is a very good hotel keeping the local standard of other hotels of Pauri Garhwal (U.K.). It is located at one corner, far from the city near Government Circuit House on Pauri-Khandyunsain motor road. It has two restaurants, conference room, banquet hall, bar and approximately 15 big double-bed rooms with attached baths, fitted with geysers, TV, sofas etc. All rooms are having a long connecting balcony in front of every room giving a majestic panoramic view of Himalayan range, especially Chaukhamba and other nearby peaks. Food provided is good. Veg and non-vegetarian food is available and hotel's menu is very long. This Hotel is a good option for those who want to spend their quality time in a peaceful and disturbance free environment. You can reserve room on line. But there are certain shortcomings e.g. customer service is very poor, maintenance of rooms is not good, there is no public transport facility from city to the Hotel. Therefore, if you want to visit here, you should have your own transport. Parking is another issue though, at present, vehicles are parked in front of the Hotel on main road. Staff is very cooperative and well mannered. Though you can visit here in any season but better to avoid monsoons as entire hill region of UK is landslide prone. Best season is summer but if you want to view Himalayan range from here then best season is winter. Come with woollen clothes even in summer also. Beautiful places nearby are Kandoliya devta temple, Kyunkaleshwar Shiva temple and Khirsu hill station.

I have visited there many times for many perposes. Hotel Shail Shikhar is in good area. All the facilities you can get there. You can find clean and well maintained rooms there but food is quite decent. Parking facilities is very good there..somewhat it's a good place to visit.The hotel is one of those hotel which may be used for one day purpose. The room service is below or average as per me. Cleanliness is average, which is an important aspect of any hotel. The place is easily accessible and cheap.It is 3-4 kilometers away from the bus station but as you reached there, you saw the beautiful view of Himalayas. They have good service for food and pretty decent rooms to stay.Hotel shail shikhar is located at on of the prime location in pauri. From the front side you can see and feel the Himalayas also the service provided by them are more then good.

Nice hotel with somewhat nice services.. With some things they seem to be completely unprofessional. Slightly overpriced rooms. But if you want to witness the scenic beauty of the Great Himalayas, then it is a must visit place. This is nearly the highest point in pauri and from now where anyplace near to this you will get to see the immense beauty of snow covered mountains. Breathtakingly beautiful. I wish I had a camera to carry there. Would have definitely shared the images. Next time folks.. Soon..

The hotel is about 3-4 kms from the main pauri town and only 2 kms from the Kyunkaleshwar Temple. There is a shortcut to the temple that starts just besides the hotel. There are 250-300 stairs going through the jungle that takes you straight to the temple. Stairs are sometimes slippery so be prepared for that.||||Good:||The hotel is at a peaceful location on a wide road and has good parking space. It has a restaurant and a bar.||||We took a room on the third-floor. The best part about the rooms on the third floor is the amazing view and the shaded sit-outs they have for each room. There is a big open area near these rooms where you can enjoy the sun and a view of mountains. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and fresh because they get ample sunlight and fresh air all day. ||||Rooms have a LCD TV with Cable connection, a wooden Almira, chairs and a side tables and are decently sized. They also have chairs outside of the room on the third-floor. Bathrooms are spacious and clean.||||Not Good:||No geysers in the bathroom. Hot water comes from solar water heaters so could be a problem getting hot water early morning.||||There was a big spider in our room and one in the bathroom. It is common to have spiders and other insects on hill stations but their view could be unpleasant for the guests. ||||We felt that the hotel is somewhat overpriced, about 20-30% so put your best bargaining skills forward.||||We did not like the food and it was overpriced too. The quality did not match the price tag. So we decided to stick to the popular Relish restaurant (3 kms from this hotel) for all our food needs.

Best part of the Hotel is its location. Situated on the Top of Pauri on Kandoliya road. They have parking space also available just front of Hotel. But parking is on owners risk. All rooms are Mountain facing which gives a majestic view of great himalayas. Rooms are also neat and clean. Food is also good. They also have a Bar with the So u can enjoy some drinks in cold weather of pauri. To sum up we can say its the Best Hotel in pauri city to stay.
