Mumukshu is a quaint resort in the middle of the forest in Pauri Garhwal. |It is well maintained and clean. There are a few rooms at the lower level and a few more at a higher level.|We were a family of 7 with four senior citizens and has stayed for one night. ||*Rooms*|We had stayed at lower level rooms because we were travelling with senior citizens. These are smaller rooms with not enough space to open three big bags. ||All rooms have the valley view. |All rooms have heaters. Because they are built with stone, it takes some time to heat them, but once heated, they stay warm for a long time. ||*Food*|* Food is tasty and they consider your request to make it less spicy. ||*Staff*|* Mr. Mahaveer Negi is the manager and very helpful and courteous. He is available on phone for requests such as an early morning chai. ||*Suggestion*|The sign board on the road is not clear in the dark. More sign boards and clear direction to take the path down the main road would be helpful.

The route to Mumukshu, Pauri, after leaving the main Badrinath Rishikesh Highway, is very picturesque and green. The beautiful landscapes indicated good times ahead. We had booked Mumukshu as a transit halt on our return from Auli. This beautiful resort is tucked away from sight below the main road and has 180 degree view of mountains, pine groves and small villages dotting the mountains. I must say that the resort far exceeded my expectation and took my breath away. I had read many amazing reviews on Tripadviser and had it on my wishlist of visit for a long long time. The cottage room was painted in sunshine tones and was so cosy and cute. The long verandahs with enough seating all through to sit and enjoy tea and biscuits early evening soaking in fresh mountain air. We celebrated Christmas eve on the lawns of the resort besides a bonfire and it was the perfect setting and place. Next morning we were surprised to be greeted by the snowy Himalayan peaks, which were not visible the previous evening when we checked in, Trishul, Chaukhamba, Hathi Parvat, Neelkanth, Banderpunch, Neelkanth, Gangotri Group, Swarga Rohini and other peaks made a magical appearance!! I got trigger happy with my mobile camera. The village houses around the resort and Pauri were richly laden with oranges and maltas and it was a beautiful sight. I stayed here for a night on this visit but I am looking forward to a much longer stay on my next visit. Must applaud the vision and effort of the owner Mr. Madhav Bhat to create this beautiful resort. And also applaud the fantastic team led by caretaker Mahavir Negi, Bidhaata and the amazing chefs who prepared unbelievably tasty and fresh meals. The entire resort is very well maintained and a must visit place. A homely resort where one can just relax and rejuvenate...a must visit place for city folks. A perfect place for solo traveller, creative people, couples and family trips. Just did not wish to leave from tgis magical haven!

Hands down to one of the best resort experience in Pauri Garhwal. If you're a solo traveller, travelling with family, friends or couple this place is just great to stay. Spacious and fully equipped room, close to nature and calm environment.||Also the homely food with variety is one of the best features.

Its a lovely small home stay kind of a resort. Book a cottage (another room category) instead of a room. Location of the resort and views from the the resort of the snow covered mountains is great. ||Food quality is good too but don't expect star hotel food, its best with home cooked food as a local (native of Pauri) will be cooking, stick to Indian cuisine. Staff is also native of Pauri and are extremely courteous and humble, though sometimes they act slow and not as diligent as the trained hotel staff. ||Cottage rooms do not have TV but there is a lounge area where one can watch tv, it's a common space for cottage guests. Rooms are provided with room heaters (heat convectors) and large size geysers in the bathroom. we visited in November 2021 (Diwali long weekend) the resort hardly had 2 / 3 more rooms occupied and water supply etc is not an issue, however in peak winters if it snows the water supply may be an issue. ||Parking for a large suv not an issue. Overall a good place to be if you want to be away from the busy world.

The rooms are not upto current standards. The staff is untrained and the systems of dealing with guest expectations is poor. There does not seem to be anybody in charge. The kitchen staff is especially unfit for the job and were unable to cater to our food requirements. The person dealing with the guests in the restaurant was drunk and was loud and fairly rude. The staff was heard to be quarrelling and shouting in the kitchen. All in all the managements seemed chaotic. I can't recommend this property and it is definitely not worth the price. It is a pity as the location is good and it has much potential

The staff was really kind and willing to attend any request." Alongside thoughtful amenities and general comfort, an efficient staff that excels at personal attention ...|| ||The stay was worth every penny, no matter what the cost and The view was unsatisfactory." You are providing your guests an opportunity to escape. When they look out the window,

After visiting Shri Kedara jyotirling we normally stay on course of Rishikesh road, but this time we took a slight detour towards Pauri area of Devprayag, and stayed in Mumukshu Resort for 2 nights. There were cottages and rooms option and we took the rooms for the stay.||The view from the rooms were mesmerizing ... you could see as far as bangarchula range and the snow capped mountains were giving a replenishing effect.||Food was good, but there are chances of improvement in the options as options were minimal.||Tea/Coffee was served immediately with good taste too.||Servicing issues were seen which needs slight improvement.

The resort is perfectly placed for nature lovers. The staff needs to be better trained and know how to speak with Guests. The connectivity is an issue and for the price you pay you would love to have WiFi and atleast a TV in the rooms. Stayed with a large group so wasn't an issue for me but solo travellers may find it boring once the sun sets.
