The Pinewood, Nainital

Will not recommend anyone to stay here. It was a pathetic experience. The rooms and washrooms were so dirty and stinking, there was dust all over, the blankets were as if they were not washed, there were bugs and insects in the bed, there was hair in the bed as if they never cleaned it. The towels were so dirty that one wouldn't feel like using them. We ordered curd as one of the items in breakfast, and the curd was so bad literally sour and fermented as if it was rotten. Anyone who had that curd would surely fall sick. For the price they charged me (16K) for a two bed room apartment, I could've easily stayed at a five star property. After our nightmare experience when we told them about giving us sort of relief even in the form of a partial refund or discount, they were not willing to help us in any way. All they cared was about money and all they had to say was sorry and we'll take this to the higher management. With such service and behavior towards their customers i dont see this property going too far. I've even attached few pictures of the above described. Request everyone to think twice before staying with them. Thankyou!

Wonderful Experience at Pinewood Hotel in Nainital! We are a Brazilian couple and had an absolutely amazing stay in Nainital -- and a big part of that was thanks to Pinewood Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel is simple, but very tasteful. Every detail of the environment shows care and warmth. It's the kind of place where you feel at home, with a peaceful and cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the city. Our room was extremely comfortable, clean, well-organized, and quiet. The bed was great, the view was beautiful, and everything worked perfectly. We had a great night's sleep every night! Breakfast also deserves a special mention: simple, but very tasty and well-prepared, with fresh options and local flavors. Starting the day there was always a delightful moment. Another highlight is the location: the hotel is in a calm area but still has easy access to the town center. It's not far from Mall Road, so we were able to explore a lot without any issues. But what truly made the difference during our stay was the manager, Deep. What an amazing person! Extremely polite, helpful, and always ready to assist with a warm smile. He treated us with such kindness, gave us great advice, and did everything he could to make our experience perfect. Without a doubt, he was one of the best parts of our stay! Our time in Nainital was already incredible, but Pinewood Hotel and Deep made it even more special. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. We would definitely stay here again!

Very friendly helpfull owner and staff, the rooms where clean and in a quiet environment . Coffee, thee and bottle of water complementary. The breakfast was also very good! We stayed for 2 nights. |100 meters further there was a good restaurant.

We stayed for 4 nights at this place in December 2024. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Deep, the hotel manager was very helpful and accomodative to our small requests. He goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable. The staff too are very helpful. Recommended.

Rooms are good but it's for family 2 adult +2 children. The breakfast serve here but for lunch and breakfast no kitchen is available

The booking was done online for 4 nights (Nov 29 to Dec 04, 2024) for 3 persons 2 months in advance at per night charge of Rs7600 approx. inclusive of breakfast. There were one Bedroom and one Living cum pantry. Breakfast and Bedroom were good with courteous service but the place is not worth of its price for following reasons: 1. The premises was on a narrow lane with difficult entry for big cars and having no view of nainital lake. 2. All facilities, like TV, Mirror, Dinning space, extra bed space were in Living room but despite request a room heater was not given for this space despite around 2 or 3 degree temperature. 3. No restaurant or food availability is there other than breakfast and we were dependent on outside supplies. 4. Periodical water scarcity is there. In fact one day we had to stay without water from 5 am to 8.30 am. No price discount was offered for such anomaly.

Hotel staff was what made the stay comfortable. The rooms are not upto the mark with a tiny bathroom with no room to strech your arms. Mr. Deep who was the manager made us feel like we were at home and was couteous and professional. Room and the amenities were good, but could have been better in terms of cleanliness and amenities like wi-fi and bathroom size.

Comfortable stay with great options for breakfast. Special mention for Deep who took special care of all concerns and made the stay a special one to remember.
