An upmarket hotel in a posh neighbourhood in Nainital. The employees are prompt in their service and that too with a smiling face. Food quality and taste both are good. Rooms are tastefully designed with a small private dining area for each room. If you want to enjoy the quiet and serene environment close to the nature, this is the right location. The only disadvantage is that it is little far away from the mall road, however, bike taxis are available to ferry you to and fro the mall road at a nominal charge.

Location is very far off from the town and the road quite risky and very steep at places. Caution to drivers from plains to drive carefully and not take chances at the sharp and steep bends. Parking is a major issue. There is no parking but staff very kindly arranged in another property to park my car. Commuting to town one way is anywhere between INR 300 to INR 400. You have to book a cab one hour to 45 minutes in advance through the hotel staff. So a visit to the town costs about 600-800 both ways in a public cab. Food on the menu is expensive and exclusion of breakfast from the room tariff is a big disappointment. I had a ground floor room which was very neat and clean and well appointed but we could not open the curtains as people outside could have a direct view of our room. So there was no privacy and we had to keep the curtains drawn with no natural light. So felt a bit stuffy. Other rooms in the property seemed very small. The property does not have any view of Nainital town and as it is on ayarpatta slopes it is more cold there and hardly any sunshine. Hot water availability was a nightmare as only one person could have a hot water bath. The second person had to have a bath in cold water as the geyser was of low capacity. The staff was very courteous and warm, which was a big redeeming feature of the property. For the price which i paid about 8000 plus inclusive of GST but without breakfast in December month was not justifiable. The property owner needs to do some reassessment and recaliberate the prices and facilities. Will not like a repeat stay with the present facilities and price
This was probably best stay I had , the staff is just great ,Chandan Ji and Girish Ji were absolutely gem and made the stay perfect, the hospitality is unmatched. The rooms are great clean . And the food is also great. The dining area are so beautiful. The cottage is a bit far away from center but it's so tranquil in the morning you hear birds, and can see beautiful sky at night
It's a beautiful property to stay in Nainital if you traveling with your family and friends away from noise of Mall Road. The rooms are nice and clean. The twin beds are bit narrow but the double beds are full size. The bed sheets and the comforters are very clean and you feel convinced of the hygiene. The staff is very very helpful and smiling, they make sure that they put every effort to make your stay a memorable one. The property has a sit out area which can be used by guest as a social area. A bit away (10mins) from Mall Road still the property is centrally situated and has very peaceful surrounding. Overall a beautiful property and I would highly recommend.
My delightful stay at the cottage villas included amazing service, spotless rooms, and delicious breakfast. Ordering lunch and dinner was an option, offering equally tasty dishes, but planning ahead (at least 6 hours prior) was necessary due to the fresh preparation. The only drawback remained the challenging narrow and steep road to access the location. the staff's respectful and attentive service added to the overall positive experience. The rooms offer spacious comfort paired with breathtaking valley views.
On New Year's Eve, I traveled to Nanital and stayed in Sakley's Cottage with my friends. The cottage was beautiful, rooms were also nice and had good hospitality
Clean and great service but smallish property which lacks significant outside seating or a view. |Food is very very good. |The location of the cottage is also a bit tough to get to especially the last km or so. |Not worth more than 5k a night ( we paid close to 9k)
I had an exceptional stay at the cottage villas - the service was outstanding, and the room impeccably clean. Hygiene standards were top-notch, and the delicious breakfast, made to order, added to the delightful experience. The only drawback was the narrow and steep road leading to the location.
