The Solitaire Resort by Lawrence Hotels

We had a good stay at The Solitaire Resort, Mussoorie. The room had a lovely view and the location was perfect--just a 10-12 minute walk to Mall Road. The breakfast and dinner buffet was excellent with a nice mix of veg and non-veg options. A couple of things could be improved: our room didn't have a mini fridge, which would've been useful, and we couldn't get a balcony room due to full occupancy. However, the staff was kind enough to offer complimentary mocktails as a gesture, which we really appreciated. Overall, despite a few small issues, I enjoyed my stay and would consider coming back.

We stayed at this hotel as a last resort since most other options were fully booked during our visit. The location is convenient, and the quality of the food was okay. The rooms were not well maintained, and the towels provided were not clean. The breakfast buffet was not up to the mark and lacked variety. There was no mini fridge in the room, which was quite disappointing for a hotel claiming to be 4-star. Additionally, the price of the rooms is exorbitant and does not reflect the quality of services offered. Although the hotel claims to be a 4-star property, based on our experience, it would be more appropriate to rate it as a 3-star hotel.

Hotel rooms gives great views from the balcony, housekeeping services are good. Food is also okay, don't have local food options even though it's mentioned in menu. If you are going with small kid, make sure to take Pram/stroller with you as it will be easy to go to Mall Road from hotel as it's almost 200 meters and also will be useful in Mall Road. renting PRAM on hourly basis options are also available on Mall Road.

We stayed at The Solitaire in March 2025. It was wonderful and enjoyable stay. Mahima made it super special for us as it was our anniversary eve, she went and extra mile and planned a room decor surprise for us. It was really a sweet gesture. Food was good , and so was hospitality. Good parking is a big plus. The view from balcony is also amazing. Would definitely come back.

We had a great stay at Solitaire Hotel. The food was really tasty, and there were many good options to choose from. The best part was the amazing view of the mountains - it was so beautiful and peaceful. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and has a calm feeling. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it to others.

It was a very comfortable stay. Enjoyed the pristine scenic beauty of the valley. I extended our stay for one more day The room and the attached bathroom were clean and tidy. Me and my wife stayed here from 14th April to 18 April 2025 Everything worth the money. Prof A K Nagar

After 2 nights at the hotel, realized the pros and cons that come with any hotel anywhere. Pros: 1. Location: Wonderfully located close enough to the Mall Road and yet can directly take your car to the hotel (given car restrictions, this comes handy) 2. View: The hotel offers unrestricted Valley View from All Rooms. Perfect to sit in the balcony and enjoy the sunset. 3. Restaurant: The 24hr kitchen delivered very tasty food for both nights for dinner. The chef takes special care to prepare food even with my allergies. The Buffet breakfast was also worth it and had varied options. 4. Parking: Hotel comes with a spacious parking lot which is a great idea especially during peak season. 5. Staff: Staff is very kind and helpful. Really nice people taking care of the place. Cons: Technically, it's not a 4 star hotel as they don't have a liquor permit. Also, rooms don't have AC and room heaters are chargeable. For 6k a night (during off season), you would expect a better TV (if not a smart tv). Overall, would recommend the place for the Pros alone.
