Location is awesome. Rooms are good but washroom is part is just worst. Water supply issue. Hot water issue. Food is below average. Over all this can not be 4 or 5 star hotel. It must be 1 or 2 star hotel. Staff is also ok. Required to remind them again & again for towel, shampoo, soap, drinking water.

Only the Hills are shining and not the Hotel. We stayed from 18-20 April 2025 in room-206. Its probably the one of our worst hotel we ever stayed It stays 3 star but actually its like a Dharamshala. Positive: 1. Room was large in size. Negatives: Considering paying for rs 4500 plus per night. 1. Shabby Bathroom flush not working properly and no exhaust fan. Very small area with no partition. 2. Breakfast buffet is even worse , No variety in food ...No bread toast, Bad tea, soggy Maggie everything was served cold as their was no reheating , Only 4 family could sit at a time. 3.Ordered Ice cubes but it was dirty soiled , No room cleaning done as they have only one pair of key which they gave to customers. No refilling of Coffee /tea pouches. 4. Breakfast Buffet only starts at 8:30 AM(Their will be rush all over tourist spot and we cannot order food also before 8:30 AM ) and if plan to eat at 8:30 AM you have to stand as their is no enough seating space. 5. Furniture was damaged and also the fan was making lot of noises. Also their is not Lift. Kindly save your hard earned money and avoid this pathetic hotel. They ruined our holiday.

It was a very pleasant stay. the way to the hotel is slightly narrow but it is worth it considering the comfort and hospitality. The rooms are clean and well maintained with a good view, staff very courteous and cooperative, food is good. All in all a good experience and looking forward to stay here again in peace and tranquility with family.... absolutely no nonsense....

Experience at shining hills was good! Rooms are pretty spacious and hygienic! Cleanliness is well maintained. Had a good time overall .

The entire experience was amazing at Shining Hills by Lawrence. The rooms were pretty neat and tidy. The view from the room was wonderful! The food was at par with any renowned 5 star restaurant, especially their butter chicken. The staffs are very cooperative and cordial. Overall, the experience was 10/10. Would love to visit again.

Trust me don't waste your money its not worth. The pictures posted on google are gimmicks only. In real it is a pathatic hotel. Roads are really scary to reach then the rooms are identical to store rooms. The only trp is the dining area situated at the edge that is also embeded by too bad food. So pathatic. Seriously disappointed.

I stayed at Shinning Hills Hotel in Mussoorie for 2 days and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The breakfast buffet was below average - the food was cold and unappetizing. Moreover, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes were served together without any clear separation, which is highly insensitive to dietary preferences and restrictions. What concerned me most was the unhygienic condition of the kitchen I saw on the 3rd floor. It was visibly dirty, and I noticed that the same utensils were being used for preparing both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. This lack of basic hygiene and food safety standards is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the management. I hope the hotel takes immediate steps to improve cleanliness and food handling practices. Until then, I would not recommend this place, especially to families or those particular about hygiene and vegetarian food.
