Royal Orchid Fort Resort, Mussoorie

This hotel is a complete disaster. The lack of basic first aid supplies is appalling. When I had an issue with my car in the parking lot, the staff was completely unhelpful and uninterested. They didn't even bother to offer to clean up the mess or investigate what happened.||*Incompetent Management:*|The General Manager seems more interested in going for morning walks than actually managing the hotel. When I tried to report my issues, I was met with indifference and a lack of follow-up. It's clear that they're not bothered about providing a good experience for guests.||*Understaffed:*|During the wedding group checkout, there were hardly any staff members around to help with luggage. It was chaos, and the guests were left to fend for themselves. Unbelievable.||*Food and Service Team:*|The only redeeming quality of this hotel is the food and it's service team. They're actually decent. But that's where it ends.||*Overall:*|Avoid this hotel at all costs. The management is incompetent, the staff is unhelpful, and the lack of basic amenities is ridiculous. You deserve better.

Property has great views..having an old n new wing, it's a mix of vintage n modern. The garden is very well maintained. At the restaurant, food was good but the vibe was quite dull. Breakfast spread was quite average.. Having so many viewponts in the property.. suggest to put in some comfortable sitting apart from the iron benches to enable guests to sit and enjoy there longer.

This is a proper hotel kind of property spread over a large area of 6 acres if i am not wrong and has nice views. As it is situated on one of the hill tops one has a 270 degress view of the valley. The property has many sit out areas and has some beautiful landscaping.|Though it is located around a km away from the mall road which is uphill, the hotel provides a taxi drop to the mall road and the charges (Rs 200 to 400) depend on which end of the mall road one is going to . The hotel provided us with the number of the private taxi agency for local sight seeing, which was a bit more on the expensive side and the driver was constantly on the phone but we did not have any further issues with it during the one time we used it.|Rooms were good, clean and we had taken the balcony valley view which a had good view during mornings but cloudy during the evenings - however we were scared to use them much due to monkeys menace who visited our balcony a couple of times during our stay there and one of which actually peeyed on the frame but this is an isssue throughout Mussoorie. Though we were very frankly warned by the hotel staff Ms Rachna who was kind enough to show us many rooms before we chose one. However we were brave enough to have a couple of drinks in the balcony once.|Breakfast and dinner was decent. Their restaurant is located at the hill top and has decent views but the breakfast spread was okayish. As it was kinda off season there weren't many folks around at dinner time but since it was just the two of us we did not have the luxury to try much.|It also had a kids play area and a seperate adults play area. And a decent spa with sauna steam and jacuzzi. There is also a round sit out area where the hotel sets up bonfires. We were just a couple but the hotel was willing to set it up just for the two of us.|We had previosly stayed on a property in mall road on this trip, after which we extended our stay for a couple of days, which is why we chose this property to enjoy the views and property, but being some distance away from the mall road is a bit of a drawback though there are no issues with taxis, however the walk to the mall is not even picturesque or activity filled. But since we had already stayed on mall road this was not a concern for us.|One issue we faced was that during afternoon the bathroom had continuous hot water but during morning hot water was very luke warm.|The hotel also has an old wing which has a couple reallly good sit in areas specially one in the Taramahal building where there is an inside courtyard a couple of floors high and beautiful comfortable sofas and had a royal look n really quiet.||Overall it was a nice relaxing stay.

This is a beautiful property located on top of a vantage point in Mussoorie We stayed for two nights here in December 24. The property had two sections, the one in front is newly built and the building including the restaurant in the rear side is the original old property. Overall a well maintained place, offers great view of the hills around Mussoorie and the Dun valley. Our room was in the new building - well furnished and with a nice balcony offering a great view and plenty of cool fresh air. The restaurant serves multi cuisine options, breakfast spread is quite good. Live performance by a singer in the evening makes it great experience to sit and enjoy the evening food and drinks ! The staff is very courteous, with always smiling disposition and ever ready to help. Front office and other support staff also are warm and helpful Overall a great experience!

We came for a conference. The hotel is really good. The service is top notch. The staff helped us with everything we need. Specially Kajal, she was very sweet. The rooms are fancy and food too. The view is also great from here. The conference hall was very nice too.

Excellent place to stay. Food is nice. Moreover, everyone associated to this hotel is very welcoming and nice. Hotel situated on the very top of the hill and comes with great view. ||However, there was power cut now and then, although that was only for few minutes. But I must say they were always trying to rectify those issues.

Very good welcome/Check In/ Check Out. Excellent staff in the Restaurant. They are all a great asset to the Hotel Team. Provided us "A service with a Smile" It's not possible to remember all the ladies names, but they were very humble & willing to go the "Extra Mile" to provide utmost satisfaction.

The only good thing about this property is its location. I haven't had a worse experience than this place ever. The management is pathetically rude. My experience has been more disappointing and sad than bad. The plates in buffet were very filthy, the food is ordinary( roadside shops have better food than their buffet) . The staff is highly uncooperative and unwelcoming. The management is equally pathetic, no one wants to do their job or what's been communicated. NOT A 5 STAR PROPERTY. NOT RECOMMENDED
