Guest Reviews

Jagannath Padhi

We stayed with a family of 4 members for 2 days. The host Bobby Verma is very welcoming and he takes very good care of the guests. He arranged us a cab with reasonable price and informed the driver in front of us that there will be no ifs and buts while the guests enjoy the location. Rooms are very clean. But there is one point, we had to wait for 30 minutes over the check in time as the room was not ready.

-5 Rating based on Bad Impact of Bad Toilet, Room and unhygienic Bed covers etc. 2 of family members- choose to use paid toilets on Mall Road/ didn't have courage to enter to change/ no freshening up as bath next day avoided. The journey back was full of cramps and sore legs. Though reached Hasthi Pao but Climb to St George was abandoned due to 1.2 km walk about 10000 steps, no energy. I was compelled to drive the entire distance to Delhi 292 km as sleepy daughter with painful sore legs & Bad night flashes.... Why so happened? Make My Trip was used as a tool by my daughter to see family room images and seeing them she paid & booked 12th April to 13th April with Breakfast for 3 pax. Room 406 alloted- rating Negative 5 based on filthy shabby gutka/ shoe stained walls- 3ft upto floor both rooms side / stinking & Stained toilet bathing area- filthy exhaust / switches never cleaned- how to use was a ?/ Tea cup kept upside down with Dirty base/ Pillow covers got changed through Mr Himanshu. Room/ Toilet were so out of shape thar we immediately decided to go to Mall(Advantage we were through out in Market- came back at 9.15pm- never relaxed after hectic walking trip of Landour on 11th day & 12th Morning till we checked In at Ambica - had stayed at better hotel- if compared now). Stained Bed Quilt Covers- awful rooms walls- broken light fixtures- deep holes all over shabby look to table- smelly toilet/ mould on Side top room( they had got panels done on other floors and corridor walls to hide them- in room 406 it can be done too. Cracks in Walls of Kitchen area- gives fear - can be POP / white cement filled. Switched off lights early at 9.45 to avoid seeing walls.we couldn't use toilet to change dresse- one room was used for this by 3 of us. Daughter kept awake all night- feeling guilty for booking room Spouse shivered all night as home bed sheet used as night cover. I was off and on awake in next room. Next Day morning felt lot of sewage smell in both rooms. Checked corridor - two wooden panels were open emitting blast of bad air - forced closed them. Breakfast was the new challenge as kitchen operates from 8.30- after intense push being diabetic - could get cook agree to make onion paratha- instead of alloo onion. Car was stuck till we stood by it after breakfast. The 2 Management person were frantically trying to get an old lady car stuck down in front of private appt. The driver for Car behind us was awaited. Finally at 9.10 we got out from a property where like a dark cave in modern structure we spent our night I have read 38 Bad reviews and marked them with symbol for a simple alert. Match the image and Room physical asked photos from small operators.

We stayed at Hotel Ambika Palace in Mussoorie on April 16 and 17, 2025, in Premium Valley Room 102, which we booked for 6800 through Goibibo. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing due to the following reasons: 1. As soon as we entered the room, there was a foul smell caused by dampness and the bathroom, which persisted throughout our stay. 2. The walls of the room were damp, and the paint was peeling off. 3. The room's internal phone was not working, so we had to repeatedly go to the reception for every request. Even then, the service was delayed. 4. The bathroom curtains were extremely dirty, covered with black stains and dampness, making them look very unhygienic. 5. The washbasin was leaking, causing water to spill from the pipe. 6. Water from the bathroom was seeping into the room. 7. There were small insects in the room. 8. The bedsheets and blankets were very dirty. When we requested clean ones, they said they didn't have any clean replacements. The blankets had large stains on them. Overall, it was a very bad experience. Paying 6800 for two days felt like a waste, and even local budget hotels or dharamshalas offer better conditions than this.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this hotel. From the moment I checked in, nothing went right. The staff was rude and unhelpful, making even the simplest requests feel like a burden. The room was filthy--dust everywhere, stained bedsheets, and a terrible odor that wouldn't go away. The bathroom was even worse, with mold in the corners and barely any water pressure. The Wi-Fi was completely useless. Breakfast was a disaster--stale food, cold coffee, and no variety. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Stay far away!

Staying at this hotel was a very unpleasant experience. There was a constant bad smell coming from the washroom and bedrooms, which made it feel like staying in a haunted house. Even the breakfast was disappointing and far from satisfactory. I would not recommend this place.

Booked this stay for 2 days in the month of March. provided room was not the same which was booked online, next day they shifted us to the new room after complain & that was the room which we booked online. Customer will be be treated different if it is booked online and offline. if you opt for breakfast and dinner option with stay..That will be hectic. I did a mistake doing that. they will share you one print out of menu which will have limited options from which you have to select. from which breakfast has almost nothing. Dinner was Okey. Service is super slow..you have to keep calling them again and again or step out from the room to follow up. no hygiene is followed, I have replaced plates everytime I had ordered food & yes again have to wait and follow up for that also. Mr. Bobby Verma (who handles online booking customers) tried his best to make our stay comfortable by his words and helping nature. but that dosnt work. though he helped us getting bike on rent which was helpful Stay was completely disappointing even after paying so much. Many improvement required..be it cleanliness..staff..services.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 days, i had bad experience over there Lets start with the rooms 1st, it wasn't clean where there was dust on every piece of furniture i am allergic to dust after spending 1 night there ,the next morning I started feeling cold and chills.my head was hurting after coming back from there i have got virus fever. Service was on time breakfast wasn't good at all The service tray was dirty and the kettle had stains on it The 1st day i got tea it was yuck.2nd day had hair in the aloo Paratha after having hair in paratha who would like to eat, Location was ok but there was narrow way to parking it's not meant for big cars. The owner was humble and helpful but he should take care or look after hygiene it wasn't here.however,I won't recommend this hotel at all

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Ambica Palace, and I must say, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and exceptional hospitality. The property itself is stunning--well-maintained, elegantly designed, and perfectly located. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and equipped with every amenity I could possibly need. What truly set my stay apart, however, was the personalized service. I want to extend a special thanks to Bobby Bhahiya, whose kindness and attention to detail went above and beyond. From offering great recommendations for local attractions to ensuring that every request was met with a smile, Bobby made my experience truly exceptional. His dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction, and I couldn't have asked for a better host. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Ambica Palace to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. The staff, especially Bobby Bhahiya, really made all the difference. I'll definitely be returning!
