Zostel Plus Mussoorie (Kempty)

If I could rate this place below zero, I would. The lack of accountability and discipline is shocking. This property is chaotic, poorly managed, and unsafe, especially for women travelers--avoid it at all costs. The staff operates with zero responsibility. You'll have to manage everything yourself--whether it's refilling water bottles, collecting coffee pouches, or even carrying blankets to your room. There's no assistance for luggage during check-in, and room service is nonexistent. If you want food, you must go to the restaurant, order, pay, and carry it back to your room. The property is filthy and unregulated. Beer bottles are scattered everywhere, and unruly, drunk guests--mostly loud groups of Delhi guys--are a frequent sight. The lack of basic discipline makes this place extremely uncomfortable and unsafe, particularly for solo female travelers or families. To make matters worse, the staff, especially the property manager, is extremely rude and dismissive. They show no interest in resolving guest concerns or ensuring even the most basic level of comfort. Rooms are poorly maintained--no cleaning services, no fresh glasses, and you're expected to wash and reuse them yourself. Even with their high charges, this place delivers absolutely nothing of value. This property is a disorganized mess, unsafe, and a complete waste of money. If you're looking for a peaceful, secure stay, do not book here.

Had an amazing stay at Zostel! The accommodation was clean and cozy, and the hospitality was truly top-notch. The trekking experience was the highlight -- huge thanks to Rajesh, the perfect guide who led us to stunning spots with ease. Fun activities and great vibes all day made the trip even more memorable. Highly recommended!

The service was practically nonexistent--guests were left to manage their own needs, from carrying luggage to fetching water or blankets. There was no sense of responsibility, and it felt as though the staff simply didn't care about ensuring a comfortable stay. For women traveling alone, this place is particularly unsuitable. The environment felt unsafe, with loud, intoxicated groups both on the premises and in the surrounding area. The staff, including the manager, offered no support or control, which only added to the discomfort. This property falls far short of expectations, and I would strongly recommend looking for a better-managed, safer alternative.

I had an amazing stay with my partner at Zostel Plus. Facilities were really good. Staff was so sweet and humble specially Rajesh bhaiya, he was so kind and helpful . He took us to secret waterfall when we requested. Nice food and location was fantastic! Good place to take a break from chaotic life and chill. Highly recommend!

The stay at this location was amazing! Surrounded by hills with a stream flowing nearby, the place offers a beautiful scenic view. The treks to Pine Hills and Dalai Hills were truly unforgettable. Our trek guide, Rajesh bro, was super friendly -- he shared lots of local stories, introduced us to local foods, and really helped ease our fear of heights. This is a must-visit place for anyone looking to stay and go trekking!

It's an amazing stay to chill and relax. The staff was very helpful especially Rajesh. Accessibility is an issue. I personally felt the cab/scooty services are bit over priced compared to what u can get at mall road. The zostel only provides the details of one cab service. The cab service there even discourages other taxi services u reach out to pick u up that offers better deal. Except for this and accessibility, the place is wonderful to stay in.

I stayed for 2 nights and had a good experience overall. The room was neat and clean, and they provided hot water and a heater. The service was also good, and the location was perfect for me very peaceful, with greenery all around and the soothing sound of water nearby. However, I did feel that slippers were missing in the washroom. Apart from that, everything was great.
