The hotel is perched in a location that offers stunning views, which can be enjoyed from the rooftop restaurant and the common balcony area--perfect for photography enthusiasts. The only visible part of the hotel from the road is its rooftop, where a small cabin-style reception is located alongside the rooftop restaurant. The rooftop area is cozy and ideal for enjoying a meal with a breathtaking backdrop. At night, the staff even set up a small bonfire for us, making the evening truly memorable. Below the rooftop is another restaurant that adds a touch of fun to the experience. It features activities like darts and archery for kids, as well as telescopes for stargazing. There's also a gym bench with a barbell for fitness enthusiasts and an outdoor seating space in a narrow balcony-like area. The rooms are located on the floor below this restaurant. They are clean, comfortable, and equipped with essentials such as a TV, cupboards, and a bed suitable for two. The washrooms are well-maintained and stocked with toiletries, including soap, shower gel, shampoo, and moisturizer. While the rooms aren't particularly spacious, they are more than adequate for a comfortable stay. Outside the rooms, there is a shared balcony with sofas, chairs, and tables, which is a nice place to relax, although the shared aspect may make some guests feel a bit awkward. The staff at The Monal Hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay. They arranged cabs, bike rentals, and even took the initiative to make our stay extra special. The food served was delicious, and the quick room service was a bonus. The hotel also has parking facilities, which is a great convenience. However, there are a couple of drawbacks--the lack of WiFi can be inconvenient, and the shared balcony doesn't provide the privacy some guests may desire. Overall, The Monal Hotel offers a great mix of scenic views, good food, and excellent hospitality. It's an ideal place for couples, families, or solo travelers looking for a cozy and relaxing getaway

This is an excellent hotel located on the cliff with perfect view and Mall Road is just 6 km away. We stayed there with family. The rooms were neat & clean and food was good. The owner is very helpful. Strongly recommended.

Mr. Bhandari is a very nice person and give personal attention to guests for all small needs. Hotel is designed in very nice manner and it is very quite place to spend time with your family and friends. Food quality also too good. I would like to stay again in this facility. Suggestion: Air conditioned is required in summer. The geographical location of hotel is not giving proper ventilation in room, with the given source of ventilation. Restaurant size is big and it deserves to have more room in the hotel for proper occupancy of restaurant in morning and evening hours.

A wonderful hotel to stay in when you visit Mussoorie. The rooms are very clean, staff is very nice and the food is awesome. Mr Bhandari is also a very nice person. The scenic beauty and view from the balcony is just beautiful. Overall, the best hotel to stay in when you visit Mussoorie.

Recently I stayed at this property, and I would say, this is one of the finest place in mussoorie. Points I liked much! 1. The Scenic View: This property is located on a edgy rock and all the balconies are placed in such a way evey moment one can enjoy the Mountains view especially evening sunsets. My family Thoroughly enjoyed this!!! 2. Staff: Very well behaved and matured Staff. The property owner also available to take care of customers. 3. The Food: This has its own restaurant and what ever we ordered, those were prepared then and there with in 15-20 mins and served hot either to your room or inside restaurant. The taste was so good. (Can't expect 5* verities menu items). What ever they have in menu they are Pro's in that. 4. The Price: I felt its budget friendly. Though I booked from MMT, the rent was bit high, but if you can contact directly you can escape the MMT hidden loots. Food prices also it's very pocket friendly(Veg) 5. Location: This is the only point where one need to make sure you arrange some external transportation to roam around as this is located 10 kms before mussoorie. So plan it well. Hotel staff can arrange rented scooters. But I had my own taxi booked so nothing much impacted me on this point. We had fun at Bhatta falls and very near by to this property. Over all. I stringly recommend to stay here and avoid staying chaos of near Mall road.
