Best place in Kasar! Stunning location, views and beautiful chill vibes. Caretaker Shivraj ji and his team especially chef are very good at taking care of guests. Rooms are good. Yoga hall is at third floor. Special love for the tiny and cute puppy oreo who is all hearts !!! Good stargazing options and the best reading nook Not easy to access for those who are not used to climbing steps or mountain walks

Beautiful place with stunning mountain views--watching the sunrise from our room was magical..The aaloo paratha at breakfast was delicious, and dinner (chicken and dal rice) was great too. We arrived at 12 AM, and the staff still welcomed us warmly and served us dinner.. Truly kind and helpful people. Highly recommend for anyone looking for peace, nature, and heartfelt service...!

Participated in a retreat organized by JUST PREM and we stayed 3 nights here. The staff are lovely , the place is beautiful. Outstanding views of the Himalayas. Great rooms for yoga and outside amazing terrace with views for yoga or meditation practices. I totally recommend. Super close to kasar devi Durga temple . You just walk 15min and can have Devi blessing and also Shiva's blessing in Shiva temple . You can meditate in vivikananda cave where he attained the knowledge and realization. Very powerful energetic place. Very unique and not crowded!

A soul-stirring Himalyan retreat I checked into Kasar Rainbow Retreat mainly for its proximity to Kasar Devi Temple, but what I experienced was far beyond expectations. Tucked away after a short hike from the main road, this property opens up to breathtaking views of the Himalayas - pure magic! Each morning, I'd wake up, draw the curtains, and just stare - the sky would be bursting with colours like it was putting on a show. No alarms, no honking cars - just birds chirping and the kind of stillness you don't know you've been missing until you find it. By dusk, the silence and starlit skies worked their quiet magic - healing, grounding, and mesmerizing all at once. Warm hospitality defines this place. Shivraj ji's cheerful energy, Kundan Bhaiya's soulful cooking (don't miss the local thali!), and Kamal Bhaiya's meticulous touch made every moment feel like home. And then there's Sabu ji - the quiet force behind it all - whose vision has created not just a retreat, but a feeling. Two weeks here weren't enough. This isn't just a stay, it's poetry carved into the hills. If you're looking for peace, beauty, and warmth that lingers long after you leave - this is the place.

Nice rooms with a great view. Unfortunately, however, we did not feel very comfortable here. The owner was very rude and not welcoming at all. When we arrived (wearing our backpacks) she asked us whether we were sure that we're in the right place since "this is an upper price place with very nice and clean rooms". (By the way, the rooms are also not that clean. The towels had stains on them, the floor was dusty and the shower drain clogged. In general not that big of a deal but with a bittersweet taste after such 'kind' welcoming words.) When checking out she tried to trick us into paying more for our room saying that it came with breakfast included (which we neither wanted nor consumed) even though on the website you can choose the room with or without breakfast. She also commented on our physique saying that she thought we might just have skipped breakfast because we are so skinny. The rest of the staff was nice though. Overall, we would not choose to go to this place again, even though it has a lot of potential.

I spent wonderful 4 days here, and would love to come back at some point. Sabu and Juhi are very warm and welcoming, and I loved our conversations. Always lovely to meet kindred souls! The view of the sunrise from my room was absolutely stunning, I woke up at 5.30 to be able to watch and enjoy the dawn and sunrise every morning. Juhi's cooking is just wonderful! She uses simple, healthy ingredients (as per my request) and creates stunning results, dishes that are a joy to look at, and a delight on the palate. Would love to come back one day, to experience Sabu's yoga teachings, and to learn to cook like Juhi does. Feel so blessed to have found this place Thank you for my enjoyable stay, keep up the good work, and see you again soon!

Kasar has a magical charm to it and the Rainbow Retreat further complements that...What I loved about this place was it's minimalism, neatness, cleanliness, classiness at a good price & perfect location ...walking distance from Kasar Devi temple. Right opposite this place there is a beautiful place to sit and meditate amidst the sloping trees ..it's simply blissful. |Sabu was great company & a really warm host . The cafe is also quite nice , the reading area etc too....it felt like a home away from home .......if you really want to immerse in yoga, meditation, bird watching, writing or art and some good conversation ...this is the place for you !

I was at the Kasar Rainbow Yoga Retreat in March along with 3 guests. Our stay was one more time just perfect. The early morning yoga in the yoga hall followed by great traditional Indian breakfast gives a fantastic start for the day. The staff as well as the owner Mr Sabu are very friendly and helpfulI in every possible way. I can only recommend the place... On top of it, it's very clean and quiet, which was super important for us... And the view is great. I'll be back guy's.
