Carbery Acres Homestay

We had a wonderful experience at Carbery Acres Homestay. The hospitality offered by the staff was amazing. The property offers tranquility and a variety of activities for children. The rooms were absolutely amazing. The decor as well as the mud house rooms .. made you feel one with nature. The food was delicious and presented very well. Carbery Acres is an excellent place for children and adults to enjoy oneness with nature. It is highly recommend for school ,college ,staff picnics as well as for a quiet family vacation.

Sixteen of us, family and good friends, decided to spend Sunday, 06th April 2025, at CARBERY ACRES, in Kunja Grant, near Herbertpur, Dehradun. The car rides to the venue were enjoyable as the road is pretty good, hardly any traffic, fairly well maintained. En route we stopped for fresh sugar cane juice. The Manager, Mr Manmohan, greeted us very warmly, with a big smile and his grey-blue eyes twinkling! Some of us plonked down on the comfortable chairs provided while others played Table Tennis, Carroms, etc. Later, the ladies and my granddaughter got into the Splash Pool for over an hour while the men chatted, enjoying the snacks, cold drinks, juice, etc we'd all brought with us. Lunch was served on time and was pretty good, all homemade items. The Arhar Dal and Rice Kheer were greatly appreciated. Post lunch, barring a couple of gents who enjoyed a good siesta in the Tree House hut, all of us gleefully availed of the tractor ride that had been arranged for us, which took us through villages, padt the Assan Barrage and back to the resort. Good fun! Tea and Pakodas were laid out for us and there was lots of it! We rather reluctantly left Carbery Acres around 5.30 p.m, after quite a few pictures, videos and selfies. My granddaughter wanted to adopt a couple of rabbits but wasn't allowed to do so by her parents! A superb time was had by all and I'm already planning another day outing at Carbery Acres in the monsoon!

They have one tree-house and several mud-houses. Very neat and clear with crisp linen. A little way off the highway in a village, so absolutely safe and secure location surrounded by a mango orchard. Home-like food which is made with a lot of affection. Not at all spicy and not oily either. Loved our meals here. The staff is extremely warm, simple and courteous.

Awesome and serene place for nature lovers away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. A must visit place to relax and recharge your batteries.

Amazing home feeling experience. Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious homemade food, clean and comfortable accommodations, beautiful environment... So perfect for family with kids and also for groups of adventurous youngsters. My 5 and 3 y old girls were thrilled to play with bunnies and guinea pigs, and my daughter couldn't have enough of their delicious homemade Amla pickle. We'll definitely come again.

It's a very perfect place to spend holidays or night out.

Visited this place in the first week of June....Experienced the benefit of staying mud houses under the shade of mango trees...Though it was really hot during the day but as the sun set the temperature came down and it was pretty comfortable during the night...the rooms didn't have ACs but had to switch off the coolers also during the.night because of the cool natur breeze of the jungle....|Oly drawback of the place is that the kitchen is not open all the time...even basic things like tea and Maggi are not available...though the meals were served and were tasty but you don't have the flexibility of ordering anything anytime. |It's a place for kids youngsters and senior citizens...we enjoyed our stay here

An accidental search on Google turned out to be a fascinating farm stay with loads of fond memories. Mr. Pat Kerr was simply an amazing host and friendly person who made sure our little family of 10 had a comfortable stay in Carbery Acres. Thank you for such a good hospitality and the Tractor ride we had. It was an amazing experience away from the chaotic crowd.
