Shyamlatal Hilltop Resort

We had a very disappointing stay here. We had prebooked room but when we arrived the rooms were a mess. Bed was not made, bathroom sink was dirty, basic amenities had not been put in the room, room smelled like smoke. The staff eventually resolved most things but this took time. Cleanliness was very poor. The table that they served dinner on was dirty and greasy. Cutlery and glasses had to be asked for while eating. Our room had minimal water pressure and no hot water eventhough we had turned the geyser on. They also use guest rooms as free storage space for empty boxes making the space cluttered and messy. Food was well made and delicious. The worst part was that the owner had left just that morning after visiting the site. She clearly doesn't care about customer comfort because none of the cleanliness or basic hospitality issues had been resolved. Another unfortunate example of an owner who doesn't care and staff who do the bare minimum. Would not recommend staying here at all.

Though the location is good, The room was not done properly,on request the bedsheet was changed,in the bathroom bucket with dirty water was kept. Though there were many items on the menu, the service boy expressed inability to serve anything other than Rajma and Roti, he was not ready to prepare basic dish like Alu Jeera, Rajma was also prepared in the afternoon. The resort is in remote place one has no choice but to eat whatever they offer,

Most comfortable and home like stay with stunning views. It's a must place to visit to experience the valley view of Shayamaltaal. Rooms has 3 beds with ample amount of space left. It even has a huge balcony from which you get super amazing views along with garden views and swings. Food is super amazing with their in grown organic food.
