Hotel Suryodaya

The room service staff were very unresponsive, when we asked them to bring us towel they told that you have to go and take it on your own, fyi they were speaking in a very rude tone, the rooms are very dirty and the corridors too, this hotel looks good only frm outside! We'll then after seeing all of this we only stayed there a night that changed the hotel the next day

The location of the hotel is perfect, everything else is extremely bad. The hotel is located on the Ganga ghat and very near to Har Ki Pauri which is its advantage. But everything else is worse, starting from reception courtesy, old unkempt rooms, poor facilities, unresponsive staff, no intercom facility, and finally the food is very bad. The Ganga facing room is just in name, actually there is hardly any visibility as the window is small and inaccessible.The rate does not justify any of the offerings. We had a complimentary breakfast which I regret including in the booking. Best avoided.

I Booked a room in hotel Suryodaya on April 19, 2025. It was the most pathetic hotel I have ever stayed in. We were charged Rs.4000 for single room, The Room was in pathetic condition, Spider webs were hanging at many places in the hotel, even a glass was lying in the room with spider web, a/c was not working Hotel staff took 2 hours from considering over request to get it repaired till making the a/c into working condition, There was a cockroach was died outside my room number 201 and hotel staff did not even clean it, having been our complained. The Passage area of our room was also in very poor and Dirty condition. The kitchen staff were either DUMB or DIMWIT as we had to make many followups after ordering milk for my children. I would STRONGLY SUGGEST NOT TO BOOK THIS HOTEL just because it is nearby to Harki Paudi and has GANGA River facing.

Disappointing Experience at Hotel Suryodaya: AVOID AT ALL COSTS I recently had the misfortune of staying at Hotel Suryodaya in Uttarakhand, and I must warn fellow travelers to steer clear of this establishment. My experience was nothing short of disastrous, and I strongly believe that Hotel Suryodaya is the worst hotel in entire Uttarakhand. Poor Infrastructure and Maintenance The hotel's infrastructure is outdated and poorly maintained. The rooms are cramped, with worn-out furniture and dirty linen. The bathrooms are a nightmare, with leaky faucets and clogged drains. The overall ambiance is dingy and uninviting. Subpar Service The service at Hotel Suryodaya is abysmal. The staff is unfriendly, uncooperative, and seemingly uninterested in providing even basic amenities. Requests for simple things like towels, toiletries, or a working Wi-Fi connection were met with indifference or outright refusal. Unhygienic Food The food at the hotel's restaurant is a health hazard. The menu is limited, and the dishes are poorly prepared and presented. I ordered a simple meal, which arrived cold and tasted terrible. The kitchen staff seems to have no regard for basic hygiene or food safety protocols. Overpriced and Uncompetitive Considering the appalling state of the hotel, the prices are exorbitant. You can find far better options in the same price range, with better amenities, service, and overall value. Conclusion In conclusion, Hotel Suryodaya is a complete disaster. It fails on every front, from infrastructure to service to food. Unless you enjoy staying in a dirty, cramped, and unfriendly environment, avoid this hotel at all costs. Uttarakhand has plenty of wonderful hotels and resorts to offer; don't waste your time and money on this dump. Disappointing Stay at Hotel Suryodaya, Haridwar Stayed here recently and had a terrible experience. No water supply, unclean rooms, and a noisy AC that made it impossible to sleep. The staff was unresponsive, and despite charging high rates, not even basic amenities like breakfast, tea, or drinking water were provided. Totally not worth the money, especially in a holy city like Haridwar. Would not recommend.

We visited Haridwar on Saturday, 7th December 2024, and booked a hotel for the night. Unfortunately, when we checked the bed later, we found cockroaches, and the bedsheet didn't seem clean either. We were traveling with kids, and they were scared because of the cockroaches. Thankfully, we had brought our own bedsheet and blanket, so we used those. Additionally, during dinner, the utensils were not clean, and the food was of poor quality. I'm sharing this review because, when paying 2500 rupees for just one night, we expected at least basic cleanliness and quality.

Rooms are large.but not kept well. Hotel kitchen is in very poor state. Even reaching hotel is a pain.
