Sharda Stay's Binsar Himalayas

Good place, very quite and peaceful location. I stayed there 2 week. You can enjoy clam and stunning Himalayan view full pine forest walkway with lots of birds. Nice and friendly host. Shops and hotels also with in 5 minute walking distance.

Very cozy and quiet private mud-house, but well equipped with all possible amenities, just 5 km from Kasar Devi temple. A perfect homestay experience, with excellent authentic Kumaoni food cooked to order. The hosts Mr Mayank Karki and Mr Narendra Mehta look after all the requirements, and ensure a comfortable stay. The location is right on the road, with just three steps taking you to a lovely verandah and the room. Mayank is also a hiker, and offers customized hikes of Kumaon hills. An absolutely wonderful and quaint place for a couple (can't accommodate any more !) looking for a home away from home, and a peaceful and relaxed stay. Binsar Reserve Forest is just a few km away. Absolutely wonderful value for money ! The grand view of the Himalayas from the road just across the room (refer attached photos) is absolutely fantastic !

1. Staff come and peep into my room 6 times just yesterday. I tell them not to and still the owner comes while I am sleeping, and says 'you are sleeping inside'. The views to the mountain are just lovely, naturally I keep my windows etc open for fresh air. 2. Total charge agreed for 14 days is about Rs 13000. He charges me Rs 15000 + Rs 150 for a dinner I did NOT order but he said he was 'offering' me +Rs 1200 for room for the driver who took me here even though I had not asked for this...Total cost actual about Rs 17500 for the 14 days. 3. Clown cook, comes around 4 times yesterday to bang doors in next EMPTY room. It is just lovely here with views to mountain and green trees and quiet and peaceful, just what I am looking for

This was a unique place in so many ways. What you get: a mudhouse studio with a basic equipped kitchen and bathroom, a front yard for daytime sunbathing and evening bonfires, a kitchen garden, helpful and friendly hosts who go out of their way to make you comfortable while being non-intrusive, and breathtaking views all around (plus points for also being pet-friendly). Definitely not your standard guest-house accommodation; Sharda Stays is an experience that creates its own definition of a 'getaway'. Highly recommended for the irregular tourist.

The rooms are located in a quiet part of Deenapani, en route to Binsar. You can expect solitude and calm, and stunning views of the valley and the snow capped peaks. A beautiful forest walk is two minutes away. The garden view room is spacious and comfortably equipped. Naren ji and Mayank are very warm hosts who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They provide hearty and wholesome thalis, the perfect fuel for long hikes! Mayank is also a guide who can take you for treks and hikes to nearby areas.

Friendly and helpful hosts, amazing location. Would definitely stay again. Wonderful having a historic building preserved for cozy memorable getaways!

You wouldn't believe me if I told this was paradise. I mean the entire package, the house, the climate, the hosts(Mehtas), the manager(Mayank), the people around the place, the birds, the animals and not to forget the friendly mutt (brunu). This is by far the best place I've stayed in, beats the best of hotels hands down. I spent quite a few days here and everyday was better than the previous one. You can walk around the place and enjoy the serenity, mornings are specially made awesome by the singing birds, you can spend hours sitting out and enjoying the sun, and still not get bored. There's a natural spring just down the hill, from where you can collect fresh, sweet, natural water for your drinking and cooking. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Water is available round the clock, and you just have to ask for whatever else you might need and it will be arranged. If you have to work, the view from the table is just awesome(check out the pics). And if you are tired of your own cooking, you can order food over the phone, Mayank will get you the numbers. Shopping is never too far away with Almora just 12 kms away. It's best for a couple or maybe a kid or two, if they are small. The hosts and the manager ensure that you are comfortable. Trust me on this and book this if you are looking for a relaxing holiday, with work put in, if you need it. But if you are the kind of tourist who wants to visit "tourist hotspots" and be on a tight schedule you wouldn't be doing this place any justice. There are tons of places to go, but you need to be in the right frame of mind and relaxed to enjoy this place. I've walked a lot around here, drove around in the nights trying to spot wild animals, waited hours patiently to capture some birds pics, drove down to the river to enjoy the cold water and spent countless hours just sitting out, enjoying a warm cup of coffee or tea as the mood directs. So take a chance and visit here, you can always thank me later :) P'S: don't forget to visit 'ZeroPoint' while you are there, the trek to get there and the view from there is awesome.

So I stayed here for 3nights, easy to reach, place is so quite and calm with bird's chirping and beautiful view. If you know how to cook, you'll really like their kitchen.
