The Grand Luxotica by DLS Hotels

We c/in on 12th May, it is a decent hotel located in the heart of the City. However if you see the main picture of the hotel it is very misleading. Why? Cause it's photo shop. The hotel is literally between 2 buildings. ||The rooms a nice. Interiors, space & the bathrooms were good but the view of the room was literally facing a constructed building. Since we were staying for a night it was ok. ||The food was good, the varieties were just right, not too much & not too less. ||Suggestion: for buffet breakfast the juice needs to be changed as it had a very funny taste which was a bit off. ||Everything went fine however at c/out the lady at the reception needs to be trained. ||The lady asked me to share my feedback about my stay & since I'm also from the hospitality industry (Hotel industry) I agreed & asked her on which site do I share my feedback, not 1 but twice since I saw her already taking feedback from another guest. But instead replied saying to wait she would give it. Ok i waited in spite of getting late. I typed the hotel name as she asked me to & then she takes my phone & writes her own feedback to which I asked her if she was sharing the feedback on TripAdvisor (as I also deal with guest's feedback on an everyday basis irrespective what online site it is) so I could also do it in the car as I was getting late but no she did it herself & to divert my mind made small conversations with me which she also did with the previous guest. Even if she showed what she was doing "on my phone" I would have been fine it with but NO. At the end she did what she had to do & I'm not even aware what kind of feedback she shared & where. ||||After this hopefully she becomes a bit careful/improves herself. & rather then sharing her on feedback online works on the things (Hotel facilities etc) where it needs improvement so automatically guests likes the hotel & shares their on feedback.

Great experience. Easy check-in. Fast service. Great experience with the staff. The food was also good. Couldn't try the breakfast due to early check-out. Very clean, silent and peaceful stay. Veer was very helpful with everything from start to end of the stay!

Lack of miintenance is the major problem with this hotel, like torn cushion covers even in the reception & rooms as well, switch boards in the room were coming out, pegs to hang clothes in the bathroom were placed just above the cistern. And the chef has to be trained , as the quantity + quality of the food served was good, but everything lacked in taste. All the staff members were unexceptionally courteous and very cordial welcoming. Over all a nice stay with some minor upgrades to be done.

Nice stay. Cleanliness was good. Food was excellent. In bathroom of one of the two rooms there was a cigarette smell continuously, not sure from the floor above or below our room. It started around 5 AM and was there till we checked out.

Very nice hotel to stay including food . Reception Miss Raina was excellent though all staffs are good and very polite. In restaurant Anoop was excellent. Our 3 nights stay from 11th to 14 th may with hotel grand luxotica DLS, Dehradun - was superb.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Despite its great reviews and high ratings, the reality was completely different. The rooms were dirty and dusty, even after being moved to a premium room. The bedding felt unclean, and every single bed cover was stained--we didn't even use them. The hotel felt run-down, with a strong smell of smoke lingering in the stairwells. To make matters worse, we noticed that the same rag was used to clean the toilet as for other surfaces, which was highly unsanitary. We had booked three separate rooms, and not one of them were clean. It was so bad that we even considered moving to another hotel,the staff was also rude , over all experience was 1 star .
