Hotel Embassy Dehradun & The Trekkers Hostel

The worst hotel I have used in my journey so far is only Hotel Embassy. Food is terrible here, the Chilli Chicken I ordered tasted like week old meat and when I asked them to change the order, instead of a full Chilli Chicken I was served only two or four pieces of meat and room service is also terrible. Bathrooms stink of sewerage and after checking in the hotel the customer is not mportant for them. They are not serving even a complimentary water bottle or a dental kit.. third class hotel and staff also.

we booked through goibibo. very bad location. denied early check-in even though it was complementary. reception staff asked for Rs. 500 for using common washroom in the dormitory if we wanted to wait for our check-in. I would never recommend anyone to go there. very greedy and opportunist people. we decided not to stay here even after knowing that i will get no refund.

Hotel Embassy is proximate to Dehradun railway station but auto rikshaw charges Rs 100. The hotel is old but renovated with tiles and plastering, with lift and hot water facility. It's attracted by group/package tour groups for one night stay and is comparatively at low accommodation charges. The surrounding area is not at all good especially for people loving cleanliness in life. Staff is friendly . Food provided is very high compared to the street foods available around. Budget friendly hotel for short stays and for students as well. The staff is very friendly including the owner who will give the maximum needed information if you are there for vacation. They provide hot water and wifi facility and hot drinking water is also available 24x7. Rooms are also clean and maintained good.
