Hotel Doon

We stayed for a total of 4 days in a family room with two additional bed set. The hotel exceeded my expectations with its excellent location and the added convenience of free basement parking. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Polite and respectable hotel staff. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it to others.

My husband and I stayed there for a week and it was an amazing experience. The room was spacious and clean as well as the bathroom. The room service was quite good tho, can't say much about the food as we didn't order much but overall everything was pretty good. Their room service food was a little expensive; however, they have a small restaurant below the hotel and it serves good food at reasonable prices.

Staff on reception is very unprofessional. Very bad experience.after paying 1800/ single person receptionist argue on breakfast ( we don't provide dahi with paratha). Feels like fish market. Better to opt for hotel grand legacy or ellite in same prices.

Attended a family function in this hotel with around 100 guests. Please be informed that appearances are deceptive. Don't go by the lack of fancy decor at the reception. The most striking thing about this hotel is the management's attention to detail and willingness to stick to their commitment. The theme of our party was discussed in detail which were more than complied with and end results were just awesome. The manager, Shri P S Rawat, an ever smiling gentleman, added a twist of his own and every guest really appreciated the decor and arrangements.||Food was simply awesome. The owner of the hotel was himself in attendance and made sure that snacks and food lasted till the last and every guest was totally satiated. I must add that Mutton Rogan josh was one of the best I've ever had. When I met the chef, Shri Bhatt, he revealed that he had worked at Taj President, Mumbai but the lure of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand compelled him to return to his roots.||So guys, go ahead and enjoy this hidden gem. A special thanks to the management and staff for making our function truly memorable.

Third class behaviour experienced. Manager is nice and polite. Condition of the room terrible. Loose electric fittings. Horrifying experience. Toileteries not provided. Mosquitoes every where. |Only good thing is that we had nice breakfast.

We were booked in this hotel as part of a few days trip to Uttarakhand which started in Dehradun. We landed in the airport And this hotel is 1 1/2hr away from the airport which is too far and I badly wanted to visit the Robber's cave which was again very far i.e approx 11km from this place. I couldn't see till the end of the trip. This hotel is not located near any main attractions. It was pretty clean. But the restaurant on the roof top is not good. There were 2 drunk guys playing loud music in the dinner time which was annoying. There is no separate wash basin to wash your hands after eating. You have to use the washbasin in the restroom which was so unclean. The reception staff were not friendly. We departed one day before the rest of the group. It was informed to the reception staff before we checked out. But still we were questioned as if we were running away without paying the bill. The staff including waiters don't even know basic English which makes it difficult if we don't know to speak Hindi. And mainly, i got diarrhoea after eating the food from the hotel. It was so severe in recent times. I stopped eating from the hotel and instead went for fruits and bread/jam brought from outside.

Well behaved staffs are present !! Food is good . Service is better. Ac sometimes doesn't work . Lift is present ! In bathroom there is no adequate water removal system so water Lodges near the door. Place is exactly at the all pul chock. From airport it is about 1.5hr journey and they will charge you around 900-1200. Vegetables and fruits market is near by, sgrr and doon hospital are also near by.

Slightly better that the worst. I had visited this hotel last year. I had to cut short my stay here as there were anything but positive vibes in the hotel. Rooms were small and dirty. The man at reception was totally unprofessional. Food served was just average. The only good thing worth mentioning about this hotel is it's location which is closer to both ISBT Dehradun and railway station. Not recommended if travelling with family.
