Hotel Doon Regency

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was comfortable and clean, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The breakfast buffet was also impressive, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste.

The Hotel is situated at Prince Chowk, very close to the Dehradun Railway Station. The proximity to the railway station makes it very helpful for those people who want to have a short stay before leaving for somewhere else, especially those going to Mussoorie, they can take a room and get fresh before continuing there journey; also people coming for stay of one to two days. But the rooms are not good. The two bed rooms are very small with hardly any space for one person moving if another one is standing. The rooms does not compare with the same look that one would get on entering into the hotel. Also the washrooms are very ill maintained with the taps and towel hangers being very old and are in dilapidated state. Also the washrooms are not clean as per expectation. The price of food available here also very high compared to good shops outside and near the hotel. Overall the charges for the rooms are higher than the standard of the rooms. I would not recommend any person to book rooms in this hotel if they want to spend more than one to two days. It is only to book this room if you want to stay less than this time period. Also try to eat food from nearby hotels to save money.

Our excursion team had a pleasant stay overall, with clean facilities and good hospitality. However, the room service was slow, and during the DJ program, staff appeared drunk and ignored our team's requests, which was disappointing.

I have never ever been to a hotel dirtier than this. Everything in the room was dirry including the washroom, bed linen, towels, floor, etc. TV in the room wasn't working and no one attended to it even after multiple calls. No complimentary water bottle either. Looks like most of the ratings are fake. This hotel should have a 1 star rating. Avoid staying here at all costs unless you want to fall sick.

The hotel was great. The location is great just beside the Dehradun railway station in main area. The Staff was also really good and professional very good coordination by Pooja from front office. The Hotel was well maintained, clean and ambient. The hospitality of the staff was good. The room and bathroom was neat and tidy with provided towels, shampoo, soaps, etc and the bed was soft and really comfortable to lie on. Loved the experience, will recommend to go for this hotel it is the best hotel in that area. Next time also I will stay here
