UD's Cafe & Homestay

Just back from this beautiful homestay yesterday with family after staying for 6 nights and wished we could stay longer. The place is managed by Mr. Udit, a fine gentleman and his family (mother & Grandfather - Retired Lt. Colonel) who are very hospitable and welcoming and they are always ready to help guests.The peaceful environment is what we enjoyed the most. To add to the environment, the rooms was neat, spacious and was just as comfortable as home. The food was amazing and homely. We enjoyed all our meals. If you want a home away from home off the beat track, this is for you.

One of the best place to visit and to book for any celebrations.My engagement was done at this place. I must say the Udit, the guy who owns the cafe in one of the most humble and disciplined person. My relatives stayed at this homestay during marriage and it was never a staying site , it as always a home and one could feel it easily. The quality of food ,hygiene level in all the areas is beyond words. I would like to thank Udit for making it a memorable one for our families which will remain freezed in our minds for ever. I wish to visit again to this new peaceful connection with my wife soon. UD's cafe always a home. Thanks for your love and hospitality!

Our stay was a short one but a memorable stay. Udit the main guy at the UD's cafe was very courteous and kind in arranging the rooms for us as well as bonfire with starters to go with it in the evening. His dogs Leo and Lucy are just too sweet and playful. Rooms were basic but decent. Do visit his place to have a warm stay in Dehradhun.

Highly recommended. Very nice and homey place. Rooms are neat and clean, and very comfy. Owners are really nice and friendly. They have two dogs which is a bonus for pet lovers. Food is also great. Definitely worth the price, which is very cheap.

Had a great time here. Udit and his mom (seema aunty) were very welcoming for our week long stay. The room was nice and clean. With a spacious bathroom. The property itself is clean and green. With a spacious terrace. And a garden which boasts a nice little bonfire pit.Along with two lovely dogs. Leo and Lucy. Seema aunty's cooking was also amazing. Didn't need to look around much for food for sure. Just two minor issues. During our stay, the hot water heater had some problem. Due to which I ended up having to buy an immersion heater (although UD offered to provide buckets of hot water upon request). And we had two lovely bonfires. But found out they were charged only during the billing time. Am sure it was an oversight is all. Would request Udit to mention such things in the notice board in the future. Just as a precaution. To sum it up. All in all a great visit. And am sure Udit,Seema Aunty and his Nana will make you feel absolutely familiar and welcome throughout your stay.

In brief, the owners (old lady & his husband )are totally indifferent of the condition of their property but extremely strict about timing of breakfast! The toilets are in wretched shape. Insects are all over the place.Guests should carry brooms whenever they visit this home stay as there is no service for cleaning of the rooms we stayed. They charge steep prices for food but deliver only fraction of what they promise and often they forget what they are asked to serve but never forget to prepare the unjustified bills. Beware of being swayed by old positive reviews. It's a false impression that has been created by the owner who doesn't have any faintest idea of the word called "home".

*A must visit place for bikers* Whether it's about meeting like minded people and having lively conversation on bikes and trips, or a night's stay in Dehradun or having an authentic taste of continental food at a reasonable price, this place will not let you down. Udit here is a great host and a bike enthusiast, owning a RE Himalayan and a blogger too! I went on a super fun morning ride to Mussorie with the guy. Had an amazing stay here on my way to Auli. There is a designated safe parking area available on this property. As an avid biker, you will have a great time visiting/staying at this place.

The property is amazing...and also Udit and his Mother are very warm and welcoming. Rooms are clean and tidy with all facilities available. I'd been during the winters in December 2020. Charges were 1K/Day and they also provide with meals too..which come at a certain cost. You can always ask for a custom made Food menu from Udit as per your preference(if it's available). A must go place for Bike Enthusiasts...:)...within 500 m you have a bike rental Center that provides you RE at 1.2K/Day with 1K a refundable deposit amount. Do get in touch with the owner for traversing around Uttarakhand. Also, there are two beautiful pets.
