SAVOY HOTEL

We had very bad stay. Whole property has only 3 people, Manager and 2 workers. They are doing all of the work including room cleaning, service, cook and all other miscellaneous work. As per the room tariff it was not worth. You can see the image I mean who are using these type of towels and they are using damaged bed sheets. They are not maintaining the property. Food was tasteless. Although staffs tries their best to make our stay comfortable but the facilities and room hygiene they need to improve which was our major concern. Blanket was bad smell so we asked for the bed sheets. They need to improve the quality and maintain the hygiene. You can get better option in this budget.

One of the oldest hotle in almora and belive me you'll enjoy here as from here you can easily go to many places like rcm,I love almora, all the places and it is connected to main road so you don't have to walk a lot but in here hills a little walking is must And here nearby Pizza slice is also available and I'll Recommend you that you should vist Cent almora also The rooms might not be as great but compared to others are good Service is fine Location was great but now too much rush and houses so it may depend subjective thing

Worst hotel ever, not worth at all, it's biggest regret of entire trip, we booked the hotel through Ixigo, it's not even worth listing online on any hotel sites. We left within half an hour after check in. Very old hotel, rooms are dirty and stinky, same with washroom as well. Pillows and bedsheets are also used and dirty were given. Nothing is good, homestays are better than this place. It's not even worth given any star.

Savoy was certainly a more than we expected. Savoy is a budget hotel, but the rooms were very clean, bed was comfy, sheets clean and bathrooms big and clean too. It is situated at the start of Mall road on road which is slightly on a different road. The hotel has parking on road and has a small garden to get yourself clicked.||||The rooms on the first floor had beautiful views overlooking the Himalayas. The best part was the huge attached balcony, The food was excellent. It was like home cooked food, and tasty. For us this was certainly a good stay||||Average Pricing with Decent Stay and good home cooked food.

This is my third visit to Almora and i always choose Savoy hotel to stay. ||Positive: ||-Hotel is located at Starting of Mall Road with Himalaya facing view from garden of hotel. ||-Hotel Staff was very polite and 24*7 available to help. ||-Food rate was also very affordable and two times veg dinner with tea and coffee for 3 person was billed approx 800/-Rs. ||-This time i also hired taxi through hotel with less price than others. ||-Connectivity to local market is good. ||-I also enjoyed sunbath on hotel's mini garden. ||||Negative: ||-Wifi was not available. ||-Separate geyser is not installed and I have to call on phone extension to start the hot water supply on your bathroom through centralize hot water tank. So it can be manageable and not a big issue. ||||||||Mr. Bist is very coporative made me feel like my own house. Thanks to him.

though it is a budget hotel and one should not crib a lot in such a budget but the condition of this hotel is really very bad. its a very old building which is not maintained well.||||rooms are not very clean. mattresses and pillows are stale.||||service is poor...thats the word.||||locatoin is ok. the view outside is good. but its a hill station, so just a view doesnt make it a good hotel.||||so better options are available in almora rather than going to savoy

Savoy hotel at Almoda was the only and BIIIGGG disappointment in this entire trip. It is a recently painted old hotel. Rooms are specious having a huge common verandah and a nice view of the mountains. They swithed on the gyser as promised as solar water heating was of not much use in cold mornings.||But: a. Few of the electric points don't work. b. You need to ask for soap, towel etc and insist again before you actually get it. c. You get smelly worn-out towels, of different colors, designs and patterns with threads coming out. d. You need to insist on switching on the DG set on power failure (2nd time they did it without asking). e. Smelly blankets f. Extra hot noodles when we ordered normal / medium spicy ones. f. Old uncleaned cupboards. g. The entire hotel is managed by one person (with some experience) with the help of few teens who barely understand the business.||We did not complain at all during our entire stay as somehow we had a feeling that its useless. There is nothing that they could / would do. I would have still not complained here and on the net but the smelly towel and blankets is too much to bare.

A tiny hotel nestled in Mall Road, Almora. Spacious rooms, and great service from the houseboy Pankaj, an ever-smiling young lad who runs up and down the steps to serve guests on the first floor. They very kindly provided all 3 meals to us at our request, all freshly cooked. Dal, mixed vegetable curry, chicken biriani, matar paneer, Alu gobhi et al were above average. They provided a heater for an aged member. Pets are allowed. BUT watch them, there are a lot of dogs in the vicinity. Take your own cab - we took one from Delhi, and we used it to transport to KAsar Devi temple (8km), Jageshwar temple (35km), Kainchi Dham (60 km) etc. I just wish that bed linen and pillows are a bit cleaner and the phones and TV work. Rest is very .
