Hotel Shivalik-Best Himalayan View Hotel In Almora

January-Feb 2023 we stayed here for 2 days, view from here are amazing specially a person who assisted as Puram Singh was really good

Great location, very tasty food , breakfast, dinner , awesome view , everything is good

it was a terrific experience to stay here. it has no lift. our room was at the lowest floor down, -3 floor down. staff is very rude, no proper room. services. no doormats in room out side bathroom. walls are very dirty. they have put some good images of rooms but reality is very different. never be impressed from the outside look. poor room service. and no one will come to carry your luggage at leaving time. in our room geyser was not working. we said to the staff many times but they did not give attention. and behaved very ruddly with us. vl never suggest to go with this hotel. nobody in this hotel cares for their impression or customer service. we dissapointed very much.

In one word 'CHEAP'. No one cares to pick up your luggage, Nobody was at the reception even I called before coming. Stairs and Corridor floor are dirty and cheap in appearance. The room has dirty blankets, The noisy and cheap springs in the bedding will give you back pain. Room service is really bad. You have to literally find them to serve you. The only positive is the view and market location. Its a complete waste of such a big property. The owner seriously needs to rethink about the cleanliness, staff and renovation.

Pros:|Good location and view. Has its own parking. The rooms and bathroom were spacious. |Shops, ATMs nearby. The night view of the town is a great sight though. ||Cons:|The hotels needs alot of maintaience. |Wifi was not working|You will only get a view of the town.

Except location. This property does not qualify for a hotel. It's a trap. Great pics on hotel booking app. But when you reach rooms smell like he'll, bugs everywhere, cockroaches,spiders, stained bed sheet, filthy sofa, doors windows balcony. LIFTS/AC/TV not working. But they charge you for it 3000 plus INR per night. Rude unprofessional argumentary hotel staff. No tea glass or electric jug in rooms. They ask u to go to kitchen which is also unhygenic to order ur tea food. No intercom. One should report to govt. authority to shut it down.

Very spacious rooms if you opt for royal rooms. All rooms have valley view. Bathrooms very very clean and well maintained . Best part is parking is available and proximity to mall road. Inhouse food was excellent we ordered Indian and Chinese. Staff was very friendly and very well behaved . Helped us with our basic needs and queries.

You need to travel an extra of around 8-9 km to reach the hotel because the approach road leading to it is one way (otherwise the hotel is only 50 meters from the main road, although one way rule is relaxed during late night and early morning). Rooms are ok, view is good if you stay on 2nd floor or above. Newly constructed rooms lacks view and proper ventilation. Food is good. A cinema hall is also present in the adjacent building. Proper parking facility is also available.
