Hotel Shikhar

Our experience with Hotel Shikhar, Almora was extremely disappointing, both from a client and travel agent perspective. The hospitality was poor, and the staff, especially a person named Amit, was unprofessional and unhelpful throughout the stay. Despite prior communication, the hotel gave clients inaccurate room information and pricing. They clearly mentioned that deluxe rooms were unavailable but still miscommunicated rates and services, creating confusion and dissatisfaction. After full payment, the hotel staff stopped responding to calls and messages, and even during check-out, they behaved rudely and hung up the phone without offering any assistance. This kind of service is not just unprofessional but harmful to travel agencies trying to provide a quality experience to their clients. We strongly urge other travel agents and customers not to book this hotel. It does not deserve even one star. Very poor service, no accountability, and a complete lack of hospitality. Avoid this hotel to save your reputation and your clients' experience.

Hotel is in middle of market . They have very less parking space but they provide good service with parking as they have appointed a staff who handles the parking. Overall the stay was comfortable , beds were cleaned . One of the bed sheets were stained but staff was quick to change it. They suggested some good places to visit. Restaurant offered dinner even when it was about to close as we visited the property on Diwali. There lift offers great view of almora. They could improve there toiletries set apart from that everything was comfortable.

I recently stayed at Hotel Shikhar- Almora and had a great experience. Good Hospitality, Excellent ambience. The location is very good. Food quality is excellent. The room was well maintained, very clean and comfortable. Room service was excellent, Very humble staff. Worth to Stay.Highly Recommended.

I have used this hotel twice . In 2 years. I like this hotel and professional staff. Rooms are good. Plenty of space. But best parts which I should tell are- Staff was really good and helpful. We asked them to heat up water and all time they helped , they provide us extra rajai . Staff understs the problems of tourists in winter. We forgot a tshirt in room and they called us called us and returned. Parking is a issue in almora city but this hotel has enough PARKING SPACE for tourists . Nice place and good staff

It was due to an emergency that we stayed in Shikhar Hotel in Almora on 27th January 2025 Night. The stay was very comfortable. We, around 7 people stayed there. A couple of people fell ill while traveling due to long journey from Vadodara Gujarat.So we stopped over to seek the medical treatment in Almora. It was a comfortable stay in Hotel Shikhar. I happened to talk to Mr Rajesh Bisht who is the owner of the hotel. He encouraged me to stay there. The stay was very comfortable and the staff was very supportive. It was value for money. The hotel is located in prime location and nearby bus stand and taxi stand . The rooms are spacious and clean with all basic amenities. The staff is very polite and cooperative. The owner of hotel are very friendly and have good knowledge of culture and traditions of Kumaon region. The quality food of their restaurant is best and reasonable in price.. So in all Hotel Shikar is best hotel of Almora and best on category of budget hotels. Sharing all on basis of personal experience...

Good hotel in a mall Road, everything is nearby. You can shop and eat outside. How would they have? Food is also nice. They have left to go up and down and this hotel is pretty big.
