Hotel Himsagar

We stayed at Hotel Himsagar in May,2025. The rooms on rooftop and window facing to hills rooms are excellent. Their service remained excellent specially Mr Joshi , Manager. The restaurant in hotel also provides fresh food on time and affordable prices. The hotel is on mall road near to Almora market area providing parking facility also.

Very bad service looks like hostel no facilities no hot water, bed was very dirty not organized reception guys full drank in the night not safe place they are not providing heater they have lot's of hidden charges it was very disappointing and not recommended.

We had 2 days stay at this hotel. Here's something that i felt - The hotel offers free parking - The rooms are nice & clean - The service is really grt - Available at affordable price (we booked at 2700) - spacious room and washroom - Good quality food available at affordable price - The people at the reception are very polite & very humble. If u have any request at the hotel u can just talk through, they will surely help u . Had a great time at this place

Except location there is nothing good with this hotel. Very old hotel with no management. Their staff is also non trained staff. They do not even know how to talk to guests. Do not book deluxe rooms at all as they are just next to reception on the ground floor which is a curse, as their staff rings the bell anytime. Sometimes I take the remote sometimes to ask for food. After ringing the bell if they are seeking something from the room, they won't wait for you to get it or take your permission, they straight forward enter into your room like morons. They talk so loud on reception or watch TV till late night like beyond 12, and when you ask them to lower down or switch off the TV, they will ignore the request like a pro. So I would suggest choosing this hotel at your own risk. I will never recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

I recently stayed there for two nights and it's one of the disappointing hotels that I have stayed in India across all my travels over so many years. Right from the rooms to the washroom to the services of towels, blankets it's so dirty and no one bothers to even acknowledge, let alone replacing them. The rooms are so oddly structured with absolutely nothing to rave about inside the room, plus the washroom have no modern facilities. It's a complete letdown tbh. Do yourself a favour, spend few bucks more and stay in a good place and you won't regret afterwards like me.

Visited on 3rd Oct 2023. Booked a family suite. Staff is well behaved. Food quality is very good, ordered Paneer Butter Masala. Good hotel for Middle class and Upper Middle class families/couples. They don't have coffe/tea maker and boilers in rooms, so if you want bed tea you have to order from Kitchen/Room service. Rooms are big and well ventilated, located on the mall road. Beds are comfortable and cozy. Bathroom could have been more ventilated but is fine. Car Parking is available for guests. All in all its a good hotel to stay, as it is in market and Nanda Devi Temple is nearby. Commute is easy. P.S. Hotel is in Market area, so don't expect hill view or scenic beauty from your hotel room.

It's location is key point for anybody to stay here... on-road. Hotel is quite old and needs some renovation and interior decorations for modern look. Overall service is nice and not very big but parking is available. From this hotel main tourist attractions are easy to reach. ....

Experience in this hotel was just awesome. So cooperative & polite staff. Rooms are wonderful & are spacious enough. Food is tasty. View from the terrace & also from rooms is amazing. Pricing is also reasonable. Wonderful experience. Must visit
